How do I transition between ceramic tile and floorboards over 22mm?
- Being a ceramic installer for 20 years, Ive run into this problem before. Yes you ll have to build up that 20mm reducer a bit. You ll have to see if building it up with an adhesive, shims a pc of wood. See what works best in your case. If you do adhesive, predrill holes in the wood and then let it set for at least 24 hrs before tacking it down. If you shim it up with wood , glue and shim it and set the shims toward the back and tilt the reducer forward. If you have any questions e mail me through my avatar. GLs

Replacing subfloor and ceramic tiles?
- All depends on how the ceramic was installed. Only after you rip out the ceramic will you know your heights. I ve seen ceramic over a cement mud job ( excellent) . This is 3.4 or more. Over cement board ( good) cement board is 1/2 plus tile thickness. I ve seen done on luan and directly to sub floor (BAD). Laminate does always need to go over luan, ANY flat , hard, solid surface will do. So your new TG 3/4 is fine You don t even need the TG just regular ply will work and be cheaper. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve attended several installation seminars as well a installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GLs

Brief introduction of honeycomb ceramics
- Honeycomb ceramics can be made from a variety of materials. The main materials are: cordierite, mullite, aluminum titanate, activated carbon, silicon carbide, activated alumina, zirconium oxide, silicon nitride and cordierite, mullite, cordierite, aluminum titanate and other composite matrix. Activated carbon powder or granules made of ceramic honeycomb shape, greatly improve the treatment of water purification and wastewater treatment ability, especially in the pharmaceutical industry, antibiotics, vitamins, hormones and nucleic acid injection of various drugs such as injection, dehydration and decolorization to impurities etc.. Honeycomb ceramic can be divided into four categories: regenerator, filler, catalyst carrier and filter material. Ceramic honeycomb regenerative body heat capacity above 1000kJ/kg products, the highest use temperature more than 1700 DEG C, in heating furnace, heating device, soaking furnace, cracking furnace kiln fuel can be saved more than 40%, the yield increased by more than 15%, the temperature of exhaust gas is lower than 150 DEG C. Honeycomb ceramic filler filler than other shapes of greater surface area, better strength and other advantages, can make the vapor-liquid distribution more uniform, the bed resistance is reduced, the effect is better, and can prolong the service life, in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry as a filler effect is quite good.s

Do ceramic straightening irons ruin hair?
- Something else I would like to add. Sure, the heat can cause damage to your hair. There are some things that affect this that have not been mentioned yet: - the smoothness of the plates is important. Ceramic plates are thought to be the smoothest plates you can use. That helps minimize any damage due to 'friction'. At a microscopic scale, a rough hot surface is like a scouring pad on your hair. - the plates can have hot and cold spots. Again, usually not a problem with the higher end models but some cheap ones do not provide consistent heating. That can cause you to get poor results on the first pass. This means you normally will use 2 or more passes on the same section of hair which can excessively damage the hair - flat irons need to be cleaned regularly (especially if you use 'leave-in' conditioning products - not all types of hair can stand up to the heat of many hair straightners. If you have the budget, go for a model that has a variable heat control (Sedu or CHI Turbo for example). Fine or damaged hair needs lower heat settings than thick hair. - the amount you use it. Think about the fashion models you see on the run ways. They have to get about the most abuse on their hair than anyone else. If their hair can stand up to this over-use, I have to think, we can too by using our straighteners properly and getting one that promises professional results. If you plan to use it once in a blue moon, than I think any decent unit in your budget is fines
