- Q:I mean like the power connector cables. All power supplys have the same cables to supply power from the PSU to components right?
- not all PSUs have the same cables but they do all come with the same standard connectors. for example all PSUs regardless of wattage and brand will have the 4 pin molex conectors but not all will have the 6 pin and the 8 pin PCIe connectors and the higher end models will also come with 2 CPU 4 pin power connectors. which PSU you get depends on wattage demand of your system, amperage demand if you have a video card requireing extra power and the number of molex/sata power cables and PCIe 6/8 pin connectors you need.
- Q:Ok A few months ago i bought parts for a brand new pc and recently got the video card and well the power supply PCI-e cable is a 6 pin and the motherboard requires a 4 pin. A friend said there are adapters but i've only seen one and it was not very good rating wise. So I'm looking to find out if there are adapters or if i need to get another power supple.

- With most motherboards there is only one way to attach the power cable to the board, otherwise it just wont fit. I believe there is a little notch on the cable which should line up with the notch on the board

- Q:I blew 2 fuses in my amp in my car, i have replaced them both, one was a 30amp and the other a 20. The 30 amp was an inline fuse from the battery to the amp and the 20 amp was a standard 20 amp fuse in the amp. As i said i replaced both fuses and try the amp again and it wouldnt go. There is a LED light on the top just lighting up a logo, when i attatch the power from the battery the light goes off and when i disconnect it the light comes on. When i dissconect the power the red light for diagnose comes on.
- sounds like the power wire might be exposed somewhere and its shorting the system
