- Q:I thought Dyson had a patent on bagless vacuum cleaners but now everybody is copying him. Is it because the patent has now expired and so people can copy it? (as he once sued hoover for copying him but that was a long time ago, around 10 years ago)Thankyou for your help
- Are you talking about a broom? I don't think those can be patented.
- Q:I own a Dyson and although it is great for picking up pet hair, at almost every other level it is an appalling contraption, cannot overide rugs, will not pick up small bits preferring to push them around the room. The hose ,oh! that bloody hose arrangement, must have been designed to drive us bonkers and why do they have to have that horrendous appearance?
- I have a Dyson animal and i have had very little problems with it, if it is not picking up small pieces you will find there is something trapped in it, i had the same problem last weekend found a blockage on entrance to cylinder
- Q:My year old Bissell vacuum is starting to not work so well. It has way less suction than it used to and it makes weird sounds. Our upstairs is all hardwood linoleum so all I'm using it for my crazy 6' X 9' rug in the living room. Maybe all that cat hair is extra hard on vacuums? I don't know why I can't find one that will last. The one I had before this was a Eureka and it still had suction, but the rotating brush in the front broke out after 3 years of use. And it was used in an all carpeted house. What I love about my vacuum most is the compartment in the front that lets me easily dump out the dust instead of having to change a bag. But how to I search through the various upright vacuum cleaners to find one that isn't going to die after a year? Some of them say they are designed for many years, but how do I know what is real in those advertisements? Can any of you tell me what you use and how long it has worked for you? Thanks.
- I have been married 20yrs and we are a military family and so we move a lot and been overseas twice. So you can imagine how many vacuums I have bought in that time. I bought a new vacuum last year in February the day after my son's birthday party. I was trying to get the rug vacuumed for his party and where the belt spins, the belt sliced into the plastic on the vacuum. Not fixable. So that meant I needed a new vacuum. So anyway, the new one I got I LOVE!!! Let me tell you, I never thought I could be in love with a vacuum but I LOVE this thing! I bought a Dirt Devil D2 Reaction. It has a double tornado as my kids call it. It's super easy to empty. The crevice attachement is the longest one I've ever seen and so it works great under the recliner of my sectional! And let me tell you, it picks up so much more dirt than my old one! And it's reasonably priced. One day I was in Walmart and happened to go down the vacuum isle and this woman was looking at vacuums and asked me if I could recommend one and I showed her the one I had bought and showed her all the great features and she said it sounded perfect and put it in her cart and another woman witnessed this discussion and came over and said wow I think you've got me sold too! You should be their spokesperson! HAHA! So she bought one too! I've provided Target's link. You can buy it at Target, Walmart and other stores that sell vacuums. Good luck!
- Q:I understand that all Dyson vacuums go on sale everywhere that sells them at the same time. Thanks in advance.
- I bought mine at Lowe's it was not advertised as being on sale, I saved over 100.00. When I went to the front it range up on sale (they are very good, I love mine )
- Q:I am looking to replace my old vacuum cleaner and want to get a nicer one my old vacuum cleaner is a bissell power force we broke the piece of plastic that hold it upright and lost it while moving a few months ago we want to replace it with a better vacuum if anyone has any suggestion let me know.
- Hi, okorder /
- Q:Is your dog afraid of vacuum cleaners?
- My dog is afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but more afraid of thunderstorms and fire crackers.
- Q:I have a bag-less dyson vacuum cleaner, and it does a great job vacuuming. Thing is it's getting really dirty. I have asthma, so I really don't want to clean it myself, since there's all manner of dust and what not in it's hoses and other pieces. I empty it's quot;bagwhen I use it and I wash the filters from time to time, but that doesn't keep it from getting really dirty in other places. Are there businesses that clean vacuum cleaners? If so, where can I find them?
- You can wash the plastic canister out and let dry.
- Q:Honest, Himself just purchased a new vacuum we are told one of the attachments was used in the 1940s for nit picking.Have you ever heard of a nit picking attachment being put on vacuum cleaners in the past? If you were to gain some nits would you be inclined to use a vacuum to remove them? Why or why not.Oh in case you were wondering I don't catch nits. I know this because back in the day I had work that involved louse removal from humans I never, ever caught any. Apparently I am immune.
- Personally, I've never heard of a system like that. When I had nits, we had to use a type of shampoo and a nit comb every day.
- Q:I want to know what do you think about a simplicity 6 series vacuum cleaners IF you own one I would like some feedback are they better then the other vacuums far as sucking power go. Thank you I also did a spell check.
- We got one a couple months ago and I've had no complaints with it. The suction is fine and was as good, if not better, than the others in the store I tested. I like the quick disconnect cord too. You can't go wrong with this choice.
- Q:I need your help! I have had over 6 diffrent vacuums. The first one was great but heavy and old. It was a GE but now the old thing has broken down. So I have tried to get the light weight ones, the cordless ones, even ones with all these kits with them, but they are all worthless. Either they break or all too delecate or too big. I NEED ONE THAT IS BAGLESS, HAS GOOD SUCTION, SMALL THAT WILL FIT UNDER BEDS AND TABLES, GOOD WITH CAT HAIRS AND MAYBE INCLUDE A HOSE TOO. Please help. Give me a store name and a URL of the vacuum. Thanks.
- Bagless vacums do not work. I have this thing about dirt myself. I use the Kenmore Pogressive / True Hepa. It is a canister vacum which at first I was not crazy about but after getting used to pulling it around I love it. The suction is great. I vacum my whole house with it once a week. I was surprised to see how much I really get out of my house when I change the bag. My house does not even get as dusty as it would if I swept the floor. I have had bagless before and this vacum for $350.00 is great!!!! Now there are the one's that cost $1500 to $1800 or more that work but you still need to clean out the parts to keep it working properly. Bagless vacums have filters too that wind up leaking. If you have the room wet-vacs are probably the best vacum on the planet. But everything needs to be cleaned in order to work properly and last. I like my Kenmore because I can throw the bag away and I rinse out the inside filter a few times to make it last and I get wonderful results with it. I bought it a Sears.
