Q:Can you use a cymbal stand as a camera jib/crane?
While technically possible to do what you want, it is not recommended. I have seen too many cymbals and stands fall over during rehearsals or gigs... I think you want a much wider stance on the base. For the smaller cranes, use of a tripod works - but look at the pictures - the tripod legs are fully spread. In a couple of cases, using a heavy duty tripod - basically the same tripod used for PA speaker stands or light trees is done. In both cases, the wider stance of the fully spread legs will protect your camera investment. It is all about balance and center of gravity. A cymbal is about 2-3 pounds and the cymbal takes up a very small area, typically not much wide thatn the cymbal stand's leg spread - and we already know you can pretty easily knock over the cymbal stand... a small consumer camera is 2-3 pounds + the weight of the crane (which will depend on how long the crane is + the counterweights + any cables you might add... Cables? Sure. First, while not REALLY a requirement, since the camera is pretty far away from the person operating the crane, a LANC to start/stop recording and adjust focus and zoom is needed. As well, since the camcorder's viewfinder and LCD panel are that far away, in order to know if the shot is framed or in focus, you need a monitor. So cables... and that's potentially another couple of pounds. Technically, will it work? Yes. Would I trust my camera gear on it? Uh... likely not... but maybe you might - if the cymbal stand leg spread was made much larger and re-inforced with several 2x4s... and it was really solid... Be careful with the crane arm and counterweight total weight. Cymbal stands were not designed to hold a constant 15+ pounds of cymbals... let alone a constant 15+ pounds of anything else...
Q:cranes?????
EEK! I just did a search under Hwang Sun Won. It appears that Cranes is a series of short stories. Is that what you meant? If it is one particular short story called Cranes, I can't find it. I would suggest you go to your teacher/professor and ask where to obtain a copy. If you can't ask your teacher, run, do not walk! to your nearest library and throw yourself on the mercy of the librarians! Another search option for you is to look for books by Peter H. Lee, specifically the ones he has edited. He has written several anthologies. Good luck!
Q:expane the parts of crane?
The spelling error is fatal: expane does not resemble anything that makes sense. At least two things are called a crane, one a machine and the other a bird. So you just need to rewrite your question so that it explains what you want clearly enough for somebody to look up an answer.
Q:When is the crane fly season over? I am really really scared of them?
Oh really? It should go away on its own, lol. It's possible that the rain is confusing their sense of smell.
Q:How do they erect a crane without the use of another crane?
Although I haven't seen it done I imagine that especially for very high cranes it's done most often with cables and winches (utilizing a pivot point at the bottom of the structure). For many lower cranes such as those found on vehicles hydraulic lifting is sufficient.
Q:how many different types of cranes and winches are there?
A bit more information might help. In England there are Winches and then there are winches. As for Cranes are we talking about birds.........actually there are only a few type of each.......but there can be quite a few variations of the basic types. let's say 6 types of cranes and 4 or 5 winches.
Q:carribean crane jobs?
As okorder.com/ When completed Trinidad will have the largest Conference Centre in the Caribbean. This is just the latest of new tall buildings the Government of TT is building in Port of Spain.
Q:How does a crane get on top of a building and how does it go back down?
Depends on the building of course. Either a taller crane is brought in to lift them, or they're lifted by helicopter. And sometimes a building effectively builds itself, and the crane moves up with the construction platform after being constructed at ground level. Will still need a helicopter to remove it of course.
Q:how to make a origami crane with flapping wings?
This okorder.com
Q:A thousand cranes' gift? (Korean context)?
I think that gift would be perfect for a teacher! If I was a teacher and a student gave that to me i'd cry. Have you heard about that book of the 1000 paper cranes? (Can't remember the name) but it says if you make a 1000 paper cranes then you get a wish. Well anyways make sure you present the presents nicely. Like put the cranes in a pretty jar with a beautiful ribbon wrapped around it and get flowers that're her favorite colors.
