Solar panel working process

In addition to being the ultimate source of all life on earth, the sun is an infinitely renewable, completely pollution-free source of electricity. Instead of burning fossil fuels dug up from the ground in a big power plant – a very 19th century, industrial age approach, when you think about it – solar panels convert sunlight directly into electricity, with no harmful emissions.

Q:i need to make a solar panel model for a project in science and i would like to know how to build a easy model at home that wont cost alot
There are different types of solar panels. Photovoltaic for electricity, and thermal for heating water, and passive for heating air. So it would help if you would say what type you are going to build. Theere are a lot of videos on you tube on how to make solar panels. use the link below.
Q:I am doing a school project and we need to find the cost of solar panels for our school. The problem is i don't know what size the system needs to be. Is it 000 watts or 000000 watts? Also can you find the cost of the system? Thanks
Good question I am uncomfortable doing my child's homework so I will not complete the assignment for you. I am also always willing to help. Having the kWh is a great start. You must also ask the question when you size a system is there any way to reduce this load. Each kWh that you do not have to produce saves significant cost to the system. Next what type of system grid tied or off grid the two systems will have very different size needs and overall cost. I googled PV system sizing and got the below link. at first glance I like it. You can do the same for system cost. I also included a trade link for your review factors in sizing system type amount of bill offsetting geographic location site location track mounted or fixed and more Should you need additional help you can email me I will not do your work for you but I can either verify it or point you in the right direction
Q:If you were to shine, for example, heat lamps onto the solar panel along with the sun, will the solar panel eventually not work? Or will they produce more light as long as more light is directed onto them.
A photovoltaic cell will only be 'sensitive' to a band of radiation...and would probably not even 'see' the energy from a heat lamp. So, no, the solar panel would not be 'overworked' if somehow you could put 2 or 3 suns in the sky at once. It would simply ignore, so to speak, the photons that it didn't need. But, the heat from the heat lamp, or the extra photons, would eventually heat up the glass and the plastic the thing is made of, and it would fail prematurely.
Q:How do solar panels affect the electricity bill?
Solar panels can significantly reduce or even eliminate electricity bills by generating clean, renewable energy from the sun. When solar panels produce more electricity than a household consumes, the excess energy can be fed back into the grid, resulting in credits or monetary compensation. This process, known as net metering, allows homeowners to offset their electricity usage and potentially receive lower bills or even payments from their utility company.
Q:Are solar Panels worth it, Do they really quot;save moneyon electricity?
“Where you have good (sunlight) and access to financing and a combination of federal and state incentives, you have a number of markets around the country that are very vibrant, and it’s very cost-effective with financial paybacks in the order of five and 0 years,” said Robert Margolis, a senior energy analyst at National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
Q:If i wanted to get a 5 KW solar Panel does it mean it produces 5KW a day/hour/year!?!?i need 2555.35KW a week and i don't know how many or what kind of solar panels i need. Please somebody help me
I'm absolutely no expert within the field but hope to be trained rather more in the future. I am in the infancy stage of discovering as many choices as possible in the design and construction of a total inexperienced condo. That being stated, a distinctive nearby news story sparked my interest after they investigated the price effectiveness of residential sunlight panel systems. Here in Austin, Texas, through subsidies and incentives furnished, which you could set up a system that costs roughly 22.5k for about 7. It appears these deductions come from a federal incentive (which is a very small component) combined with those set by means of the city itself. Austin is an attractive modern city so I imagine their incentives maybe just a little higher than most however which you can call your city's common information line (3) and do a little more digging. Yet another option you might have is renting the equipment. I used to be advised the day gone by that a manufacturer here on the town would enable for the set up and use for a month-to-month rate. I know how tight cash will also be in school and 7 thousand might now not be tangible. The whole trouble of vigour conservation is so conventional nowadays that new information is constantly popping out. Give your current energy supplier a call and see what they may be able to inform ya. I am hoping you in finding anything that works for you. -G
Q:wondering if i should get them?? not sure if its worth leasing? also anyone know anything about solar city?
I have panels and they were very much a good investment for me. I should break even in my 6th or 7th year at the latest and they should last at least 20. There were somethings that made it a good investment. My system cost $26K, I got a $0K rebate from my utility and a $2K fed tax credit (it's up to $7800 for this size system now). I also live in a sunny location and have a south facing roof. Plus I plan on living in my house till I die. If you really want to know if it makes good financial sense then get a no obligation quote from a reliable installation company. They will be able to recommend a system that will suit your needs, know about any rebates or tax credits and how much energy your system should create. With all that, your energy usage history and your current rates they will be able to tell you how long it will take for your system to pay for it's self in savings. If you are considering leasing, generally there is no cost savings. They usually size the system so you are paying them the same amount that you would have been paying the energy company.
Q:I am told there are night vision goggles to see at night due to invisible light still hitting earth. I am also told that there are other beams, x-rays etc hitting earth. Why couldn't they invent a solar panel with dual power in the day?It could harness both visible and invisible light, and at night be single?Anyone know why they can't make an invisible light solar panel? Is this possible? What happens if future cars have night vision windshields instead of lights?
Solar panels work when the metals from which they are made release electrons when hit by radiation. There is a threshold that, below a certain wavelength/frequency, they do not eject electrons. As frequency increases, more electricity flows. Radio and infrared are the least energetic electromagnetic waves.
Q:How do solar panels affect the electrical grid?
Solar panels can have both positive and negative impacts on the electrical grid. On the positive side, solar panels help to reduce the demand for electricity from the grid, especially during peak hours when electricity is most expensive. This can lead to cost savings for the grid and reduce the need for additional power plants. Additionally, solar panels generate clean, renewable energy, which helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. However, the intermittent nature of solar power can pose challenges to grid stability and reliability. Fluctuations in solar energy production can create imbalances in supply and demand, requiring grid operators to carefully manage and integrate solar power into the system. Overall, solar panels can be a valuable addition to the electrical grid, but their integration requires careful planning and management.
Q:How much energy can solar panels produce?
The amount of energy solar panels can produce depends on various factors such as the size and efficiency of the panels, the location and climate, and the amount of sunlight available. On average, a typical residential solar panel system can generate anywhere from 4,000 to 8,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year. However, larger commercial or utility-scale solar installations can produce significantly more energy, potentially reaching several megawatts of power.
