Q:Can solar panels be used for powering wireless charging stations?
Yes, solar panels can be used to power wireless charging stations. Solar panels convert sunlight into electricity, which can be used to charge batteries or directly power electronic devices, including wireless charging stations. This allows for clean and sustainable energy to be used for wireless charging.
Q:Ok so i'm writing this research paper on why solar panels are the best way to quot;go greenquot;. I need at least 5-7 reasons why they are good. and a common counterargument that i could defend. I've already come up with incentives and efficiency but i need a few more Please help its very important and worth half my grade
Actually, solar energy IS a good one. It's something we all need to think about, especially when coal and oil become harder to get. Good luck with your paper!
Q:Can solar panels be used to power a telecommunications network?
Yes, solar panels can be used to power a telecommunications network. Solar panels can generate electricity from sunlight and can be connected to power the equipment and infrastructure of a telecommunications network. This renewable energy source can provide a reliable and sustainable power solution for remote or off-grid locations, reducing reliance on traditional electricity sources and minimizing environmental impact.
Q:So, assuming that a solar panel is flush with the ground (i.e. only the photovoltaic side is visible, the other sides are covered by dirt,) what would happen if it was run over by a car? How about an SUV? Would it break?Would the solar panel still generate electricity?
Cars and SUVs weigh anywhere from a couple of thousand pounds up to ten thousand pounds. Solar panels are typically not designed to take that sort of weight. So the short answer is that it would crush the solar panel, and certainly damage the photoelectric cells inside it. - Stuart
Q:Is it possible for a 2V rated panel to charge a bank of batteries equal to around 36V? I believe that the panels should equal or exceed the voltage of the batteries but, I'm not for certain.
With a 2 volt power source (solar panel, battery charger, vehicle charging system, etc...) you can charge three 2 volt batteries in parallel circuits then switch to a series circuit through a series/parallel switch to get 36 volts output. I've done this with my electric scooter so I can charge it with my pickup through the lighter socket when I'm away from home. It works great! When at home I just leave the switch in the 36 volt position, plug the charger in the wall receptacle and the charger puts out 36 volts. Actually 2 volt lead acid batteries have 2.6 volts when fully charged so the charging source has an output of 3.6 to 4.2 volts to effect a complete charge. In the series circuit the fully charged batteries would put out 37.8 volts so the charger would have an output of 40.8 to 42.6 volts.
Q:This is the cenario. Your yearly energy use comes by mail and it states that the total amount of energy used your household is 7000kWh.Then you make the decision of switching to get solar panels. The question is what area should your solar panel be given that the average annual length of daylight is 2.0.
It is not that simple. There are 3 main types of solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon is the most efficient and produces the smallest solar cells, and therefore the smallest panels. Poly-crystalline (or multi-crystalline) silicon produces the next most efficient type of cells and are a popular choice. Amorphous (or thin-film) silicon uses the least amount of silicon and also produces the least efficient solar cells. This means thin film system take up more area than the other two; an important factor to consider in relation to possible future upgrades; i.e. if you'll have enough space left to do so. The North (in the Southern hemisphere) or South (in the Northern hemisphere) facing roof collects the most energy. So this biases the roof area required. Your energy usage can be changed. Hot water (a major energy user) could be better using direct solar heating with peak demand boosting, either from mains or solar. There are other possibilities, either to reduce demand or to provide energy from other sources. Not all sunshine hours are equal. Hours around midday are far more productive than hours later in the day. This must be factored in.
Q:I'm trying to charge rechargeable AA batteries with a solar panel. What gauge wire should I use to connect the panel to the batteries? I know I'm not going to have a lot of current going through so the wire size doesn't really matter. Can the wire be too thick thoShould I ugh? Should I use a diode to keep the batteries from overpowering the circuit? If so, what size diode? My panel is 4.8V 50mA. Can I just hook the panel straight into the batteries or do I need something else?
In order: .? Just about any wire will do.? You can handle 50 mA over just about anything, even 28 gauge telephone wire.? Your biggest problems are probably going to be mechanical stress (you want stranded wire instead of solid, to avoid breakage) and dealing with the size of larger wires. 8 gauge speaker wire may be a good optimum. 2.? You need a diode.? If you're charging NiMH or NiCd cells you're going to have about .25 volts/cell; you can charge up to 3 of them in series with a 4.8 volt panel.? The solar panel is a bunch of diodes itself, but they're leaky in the reverse direction; the diode prevents the batteries from discharging themselves back through the panel.? You want a Schottky-barrier diode, because the forward voltage drop is about 0.2 volts instead of 0.7 volts for a regular silicon rectifier.? This gives you maximum current output from your panel.
Q:Ok, so I've been having much success with the joule thief circuit and a LED, but i tried hooking it up to a small solar panel that can put out 2.5v on it's own, and can light up a white LED dimly by it self to the joule thief and it will not work ....my question is why? I already trouble shooted it, the circuit is not the problem, is it the amount of amps the small solar panel is capable of? not enough?
Solar panels convert light energy to electrical energy with an efficiency of around 5%. A SMALL solar panel will only produce a small amount of power (watts) your joule thief circuit wont help because as you draw more current from the solar panel the voltage will drop; and your joule thief circuit just reduces the efficiency of the whole system Try adding another solar cell in series to get more voltage and more power.
Q:We want make solar panel for our home use. but we have no any right idea how we can make it. we want to make it with cheap prices.we also want to know the proper size of solar panel.where we can take help about making a solar panel
How to Make a Solar Panel – Everything You are Going to Need There are several things you’re going to need when making a homemade solar panel, some of the main components include: Solar Cells Wood Plate Soldering Iron Solder Tabbing Don’t worry; special tools are not required for this DIY ‘solar panel’ project, and you will probably have everything you need laying around the garage. Now let’s go over the recommended materials for a basic solar system: Plexiglas Solar Cells Screws Lumber Jones Plug Wire Diode Caulk Silicon Material
Q:What is the most affordable, yet highest watt solar panels available?
Those two requests are somewhat at odds with each other. Trina and Suntech make panels that are generally good value. You can search the web and find your best price. If this is for something that does not need to last long, you could get amorphous panels and save some money. But they will degrade quickly in a few months, then slowly over a few years.
