- Sounds like you might be looking for cotton jersey.
- Q:I have read that it's unsafe to use an electric blanket during pregnancy because of the risk of it elevating your body temperature too highWhat if you always set the temperature on low? Is it still unsafe? Also, is there a risk from the electricity moving thru the blanket or is it just the risk from the heat?
- Hi there, I have used ours but I turn it on a few hours before bed and then turn it off when I get into bedThat way it's warm when I get in, but won't get hotter when I add my body heat to the already warm blanket.I hope that makes senseGood luck!
- Q:I need more fiber in my dietI don't want to take fiber pills unless I have toAre there any foods that are high in fiber?
- fruits and veggies! whole grain pasta/cereal.
- Q:I want to make a small heating element, using resistance wire and a batteryThe point is that I need a small hot rectangular surface (only about 1cm x 2cm)I was thinking of using a small copper plate (for its high thermal conductivity) and quot;zig zaggingquot; some NiCr wire along one side of it (so that the other side will be the hot flat surface I need), but the problem is that that will short the circuit since the resistance wire is not insulatedI've been looking for coated resistance wire but I cannot seem to find anything like thatI need the temperature to be fairly high so I doubt I can use tape to insulate the plateMaybe I could use another material but I can't think of anything (a ceramic plate could handle the temperature but its thermal conductivity is bad and I wouldn't know where to get it)so If you have any suggestions on this, just shout
- That's the correct way to do itI have never done it any other way.

- Q:I'm making a jacket and need to sew shank buttons onto it, through several layers of fabric, but so that the shank goes through the fabric, not on itDoes anybody know of any ways to make a hole small and sturdy enough to hold shank buttons? Any help is greatly appreciated ^_^
- You're trying to sink the button shank into the fabric? You will not be buttoning it through anything? Use a blunt awl to push the yarns apart, then sink the shank and sewOr make a small worked eyelet, then sink the shank and sewOr remove the shank and attach it by any of a number of adhesives.

- Change in length (original length) x (change in temperature) x (expansion coefficient of aluminum) You know (change in length) and (original length).get (expansion coeff.) from textbook.you can now solve for (temperature change).final temperature is (20 - temperature change).solve.round off as desiredYou can do this.good luck and God Bless.
