Q:Is it strange that after placing plastic eggs out in the yard....that.?
in the internal dimensions of outer happy land the place the Easter Claus and Santa Bunnies are roaming and the demon Snipes moo. only there'll you stumble on the Squatting Sirloin, only there'll you stumble on your eggs...
Q:is plastic reactive with anything?
What kind of plastic? Plastics are polymers. Polymers are typically long strands of hydrocarbons (obviously there are various formulations). Polypropylene (yougurt containers, milk jugs) are common types... as are polystyrenes (cheap plastic glasses). Polymers are not typically reactive as there are not reactive sites like metals have. But there are definitely polymer reactions that can occur as well as incompatibilities with some materials. Draw out the structure and think about how it could react, look for those pesky valence electrons like metals have when they disassociate in water.
Q:How durable is ABS Polymer Plastic?
extremely tough matter. look onto yahoo and bing. that may help!
Q:Does plastic or Styrofoam contain more hydrocarbons?
Plastic is made almost entirely of hydrocarbons, and Styrofoam is just another kind of plastic, but with lots of air bubbles in it.
Q:Plastic surgery advice?
This okorder.com. You can ask specific questions online (it's free )and many board certified medical experts - top notch plastic surgeons, etc. who participate voluntarily (no payments are made - so it's unbiased) will respond online. You can then have direct contact with those who respond. Site is also used by many hundreds who have undergone a wide range of cosmetic treatments and plastic surgery, etc. Many share online their assessments of the treatments, good and bad (and sometimes nightmarish) state treatment cost and say if it was worth it. Many are not happy with the results. Some submit before and after photos. Mukunda
Q:Plastic used at Birth?
I guess it depends on what type of birth you have. We had 2 home births and 1 birth center birth. During the 2 home births I remember teh supplies better because I had to get them myself. I know we had plastic to cover the bed. And another piece to have if needed depending on how things went. During our home water birth the tub had a plastic liner to keep the tub sanitary for other clients. Other plastic items includes the exterior of the chux pads (those absorbent pads they lay under you), some of the packaging for items like hydrogen peroxide and numbing gel. Also the tape measure used to measure baby's head is plastic I believe (at least the one we bought). The bulb syringe is also usually plastic. Of course the covering and materials of the diaper if you use disposable diapers for the baby. Maybe the cover if you're using cloth (that really depends though since there are so many options now a days...not when my kids were babies though..it was plastic!!). That's about all I can think of. I bet there is more though. Plastic is in so much.
Q:Why is plastic FOIL a good a good insulator?
Plastic and foil are two different things, foil = some type of thin metal. Don't think I've ever heard of plastic foil.
Q:Fishing Plastics Help?
To melt down the old plastics, use LOW heat! I suggest placing the plastics into a very old pot ot pan and placing on an electric heating surface that you can control very well. Heat the plastics on low heat to see if they begin to melt. Only turn heat up enough to begin melting and allow loads of time for the process to start. As for molds, it is possible to make your own but it is even better to buy reusable molds from places like bass pro shop, cabelas, and others. I'll put a few links below for dedicated lure making supply places.
Q:Shoe storage in plastic bins - bad or good?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Shoe storage in plastic bins - bad or good? I want to get some of those plastic bins to store pairs of shoes in individually -- so one pair of shoes per plastic bin, with a lid on it. Is plastic storage of this sort bad for the shoes? I am concerned about putting leather shoes in a plastic bin. I'm thinking they may need to breathe and...
Q:how is plastic made, and how to work/shape it out ?
a low heat to melt it, but LOW or it might cause it to burn. a propane torchs heat can be spread out with tin foil.
