Q:i wasnt thinking and put the power cable in my mouth and then pressed the tip on my tongue and got electrocuted... it still hurts a little.. am i going to die
Already trying out for the Darwin awards of 2011?
Q:i am going to establish a new power cable manufacturing business. i want to ask you what should i name to my business or what brand name should i adopt that is appopriate.
follow the suggestions. Good Luck
Q:I have a USB powered external hard drive. The cable that came with it has to plug-ins for the PC. I know the fat one provides power so I use that one. I would like to know what the other skinny one is for.I have seen other people plug both in when using it and it worked fine for them. I am using just the fat one and it works fine for me. I would just like to know the reason for having both on a cable.
Two sizes are the same connections, standard and mini. Use whichever fits your computer.
Q:Acoustic Audio 10 inch home theatre powered subwoofer use speaker wire or subwoofer cable?
As you used the phrase The wire that was included for the subwoofer, I'll presume that we're talking Home Theater in a Box here. As someone above mentioned, sub frequencies can use a lot more energy. In a larger system where you are consistently running several hundred watts over longer distances, a larger wire would probably be benificial. For a HTIB system such as yours the wire that came with it would be more than adequate over the short run that would typically be needed. Having said that, there is nothing wrong and nothing will be damaged by going to a larger gauge wire. Just not a lot of benefit.
Q:What is the cable bucket in the power cable installation project?
What is the lighting type busway ah, long experience. Lighting distribution box dedicated busbar?
Q:I am working in ship is it possible the welding cable can run together (same cable tray) with power cable 400V and 220V
The welding cable has lower voltage (<40Volt) but a large current. The welding cable used to have lower insulation Resistance compared to the power cable. That is why it is not recommended to run the welding cable in same tray to the power cable
Q:I bought a Garmin GPS, but my cigarette lighter is near my gear shift. Does anyone know how to add a power cable so the cable is behind the gps on the window?. I can always take it somewhere for about $100.
As you say, take it so it is professionally done. Working on cars is very complex and requires an expert. Always best to seek a professional. Also always it is require to capitalize the acronyms of titles. Please capitalize GPS 100% of the time.
Q:Can a PoE powered cause a surge if I connect it to a Gigabit ethernet port?PoE Switch --gt; UTP cable --gt; Non-poe Gigabit Ethernet Switch
No, the PoE switch will initiate the connection with a low voltage signal to determine if the device at the other supports PoE or not. If not, it doesn't apply a current.
Q:Why did my power supply entrance burn with the power cord cable the stats of my computer are: HP Compaq dx2250 Microtower PCProgram: Windows 8 32bitPowerSupply: 500w MaxGraphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 tiWhy cause it to burn? What should I do? Change the power supply or buy a better power cord cable. The cable that burn, I bought it on OKorder for $2, I am not sure if this cause the problem, but for sure I need to buy a power supply because the entrance burn. What should I do? Is my computer stable with all this stats? What cause this to happen? Was the cheap power cord fault? I don't know, please answerThank You,
A dodgy power cable can very easily singe or burn the power socket on the computer. In general, the lighter the cable, the more dodgy it is. $2 is nothing - I would buy a more expensive cable. The cents you save isn't worth it when your house is on fire. It's impossible to know whether your power supply or other computer components suffered any damage because of the electrical fire. You could try testing with a multimeter, but you should probably replace the power supply at a minimum.
Q:A power cable of copper is stretched straight between two fixed towers. If the temperature decreases, the cable tends to contract; the amount of contraction for a free copper cable is 0.0017% per degree celsius. Show that the stretched cable will snap if its temperature decreases by 128°C.Ignore the weight of the cable and assume Hooke's law is obeyed until the cable breaks. Young's modulus for copper is 11.0 x 10^10 N/m^2 and the ultimate tensile strength of copper is 2.4 x 10^8 N/m^2.
Change in length=(coefficient of expansion)(original length)(change T)= (.0017)(chose your favoret length, I chose 100)( -128 because T is decreeing)=-21.76 Strain = (change in length)/(original length)= 21.76/100= .2176Pa (for simplicity's sake I dropped the negative, rember the wire is in tension) Stress = (youngs modulus)(strain)= (11?10^10)(.2176)= 2.3936?10^10 Pa The UTS (2.4?10^8)<(2.39?10^10) so there is definitely necking and because of the difference most likely there was failure long ago.
