Q:I have found white worms in the vacuum cleaner bag they also appear to be heavily infesting my carpet and look alot like snakes. What could this be?
these little worms that you found are actually maggots they grow all over the place that is not cleaned all the time they will grow on something moist also and what you have to do is basically just clean up the area maybe with carpet cleaner because they might have laid eggs sum where and if that doesn't get rid of em then call the exterminator and tell him U got maggots
Q:i have some dirty carpet i was wondering if anyone knows what cleaning stuff can get it out without spending a lot of money
Hire a professional company that are very versed with all type of carpet cleaning and other cleaning practices also.
Q:What material is used for the automobile carpet
There are pure wool carpet, acrylic fibers carpets and chemical?fiber carpets used in car.
Q:Does the plastic carpet belong to the home textiles
It has no relationship with home textile, it is just a daily grocery
Q:I have a Rainbow vacuum (which, in my opinion, is the best vacuum EVER). However, I've noticed that no matter how many times I vaccum my carpet (which is only about 5 months old) the water is always disgusting and dirty. Even if I vacuum 4 times in a row, changing the water in my vacuum each time, the water never gets clear. My friends have said that is what happens to carpets, that the dirt just never really comes all the way out. Is this true, or is it time for a new vacuum?
I know that under the carpet the spongy part never stays clean . everything that gets on top of the carpet dirt... drinks ... spilt food whatever tends to go to the bottom of the carpet all the way to the spongy part and theres nothing you can do about it unless you get the carpet ripped up ... carpets are really bad to have when you have pets because of this and the stink part stays for years ... next house i get is going to have nothing but floor due to this !!!!!!
Q:The other day I just found out that I had a hand-made rug that was made in Iran and bought by my grandparents about 10-15 years ago, the rug is about 6x8 and they paid around $2000 dollars for it.My question is what is the proper way to clean a rug that is hand-made? It has not been cleaned in years only vacuumed... and also is there a market place for these rugs? if I do decide I want to sell it.
The best way to clean an oriental rug is either to wash it yourself with bicarbionate of soda and vinegar, or farm it out to be washed by a company that specializes in oriental rugs. NEVER use detergent or a chemical cleaner, or dry clean, an oriental rug. All these substances will destroy the protective lanolin in the rug. A 6x8 would be really easy to do yourself. First, vacuum it face-down to loosen the deepest dirt, then right side up. You can either lay the rug on flat, clean concrete (not tarmac), or hang it over a couple of ladders or a fence. Then, rub bicarb all over it, then saturate with vinegar; it will foam up and push out the dirt. Rinse well. The advantage of doing it on a flat surface is you can squeegee it, then hang it. If over ladders, it may take a few days to dry.
Q:I recently moved in with my boyfriend but I told him I'd only move in if he put a carpet down because we have a 10 month old son who does not want to sit still. It's been a couple months and everytime I bring it up he dismisses it. I don't want to wait any longer. I will pay for it and he already said he knows how to put it down. The floor is completely bare...it's not hard wood flooring but the wood that's underneath the carpet it comes with. It has staples to hold down the wood and all along the edges are those sharp nail things. He said that we need something additional to put between the wood floor and the carpet that makes the carpet soft or something. What I need to know is WHAT all do I need to put down a suitable carpet for my son to play on.Thanks for any and all help!!
carpet,tackstrip,padding, okorder good luck!
Q:What's the difference between an area rug and an oriental rug?
an area rug is just that: ANY rug that is not laid down carpet, generally a rug that sits on top of another surface, often woods which shows around the edges. An oriental carpet is a very specific type of design. I would look at pictures as that is easier than trying to describe it. It is a type of area rug.
Q:I am looking at buying a house but want to know how much it would cost to get all new carpet. It is a small two bedroom house around 1000 square feet i would guess. I don't have a lot of money. I know you can get cheap and expensive carpet i want not the expensive and not the cheapest so how much do you think it would cost to have someone do it and buy the carept.
I would think that you can get carpet for between $10 and $100 per square yard. There are nine square feet to a square yard. If you have 1000 square feet you would have about 110 square yards so that carpet could run between $1000 and more.
Q:I have a candle that dripped wax on a carpet so what is the easiest way to remove it from my carpet?
scrape with a putty knife. get 95% of it off. then boiling water and a rag.
