haha, everyone has bed bugs. i hate to break it to yah, but like everyone when they sleep have millions of really tiny bugs on their skin. true chiz :) but hey, thay dont do anythang. im sure the bugs under your bed are jus a qua~ink~a~dink. :)

If you're looking for durability (chew proof-ness), I think that Big Barker and K9 Ballistics are the toughest brands around (the rectangular types). There's also Kuranda Beds, but they're more like elevated cots, so it's a different kind of dog bed, if interested. My favourite beds are Harry barker beds - they're cosy, and I like the hemp fabric a lot - they're not as chew proof as Big Barker and K9 Ballistics, but they're really nice, and are one of the most well designed beds out there. ;)

Q:I wake up throughout the night often, I am restless when I wake up and feel like I never get enought sleep. Could it be my bed and that maybe I should buy a new one? Any suggestions on good beds?

It's very important to find a bed that meets your needs. Otherwise, your sleep will be less than restful and can compromise your health. Shop around and test every bed you can before you make a decision. I wish I had the $$$$ to buy a really fine bed. I live on Social Security and have severe spinal problems and arthritis. I know I would benefit from a better bed but when you're on a limited income, you're sometimes lucky to have any bed.

Q:Is it ok to use CritterCare bedding for ferrets?

Honestly, the best (and cheapest) way to go when it comes to ferret bedding is old t-shirts, sheets, and towels. They last forever, are more comfy than bag-bedding, and they can be washed and re-washed to reduce stinkiness. My ferrets love burrowing in old towels and sheets to go to sleep when they're not in their hammocks. Plus, bag bedding like Care Fresh gets EVERYWHERE. Tina could be right about ferret claws getting caught in terry towel loops, but, personally, I find that it's not really a problem. At least not when you keep your ferret's nails trimmed like you should be doing anyway. I wouldn't recommend using ANY sort of wood chips for bedding - not even Aspen. Ferrets have sensitive skin and the oils from the wood shavings can irritate it. Also, and this is why Aspen isn't the best choice, ferrets have sensitive respiratory systems and the dust from any wood chips can aggravate it. For litter we use Yesterday's News. It is recycled newspaper made into pellets and it comes in 20 lb. bags for only about $16. Isn't that Care-Fresh stuff, like, $10 for an itty bitty bag?

Q:We have two cats and one dog. They all get along just fine. Just in the last month the oldest cat (5 years old) had decided to use the dogs bed as a place to take a leek. Threw away the first dog bed got a new one and walla pissed all over that one too. I have no idea what to do. Never had this problem before cat has always used the litter box. Any suggestions on what to do?????

your cat moght have a uti or maybe your dog has been bulling the cat around and thats his payback. i had a friends cat stay with me for awhile and my cat would always pee on his pillow because my friends cat was mean to my cat.

Q:I've just put my ds (18mo) into a toddler bed. The first several nights were great. He slept really well and seemed to be quite happy with it.Then last night, he fell out, TWICE.His bed is a proper toddler bed, with just the crib mattress in there (we still have the crib up, with a spare mattress)so it isn't a long fall, and one of the times that he fell, he just slept on the floor. The bed has a board at the head, at the foot, adn a small rail along each side - a little at the top, and a little at the bottom.I went to buy the pre-fab rails, only to realise that you must have a box spring and mattress to use them. ugh. The head and foot boards are actually wider than the bed, so even if one side is up against the wall, there is a 4-5 gap.He was not very pleased about going down for his nap in the bed this afternoon - what can I do? Should I make a little rail out of board of some sort and keep him in? Or will he learn eventually how big the bed is, and just stop falling out? (not likely huh?)Thanks.

I don't think there is an easy way. They are small and can hide almost anywhere. But if you stay at a very good quality hotel you might not have this problem. Hotels with a higher star rating might not have them due to keeping their housekeeping standards high. I hope you find somewhere that doesn't have any.
