1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

4FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q:im looking for some awesome bands from the genres; heavy metal/death metal/screamo/rock/hardcore/punk rock etc i really like these genres but do not know much bandsplease help!
Lyre- Iron Maiden are not extremely complex nor technical. Are you going to say they're not metal? Korn is nu metal, and they have more common ground in spirit and composition with rock than metal. But if you want to say nu metal is just a new modern form of metal, I wouldn't argue much. Comparing Korn to early classic heavy metal like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, well those bands were very rocky actually. Yet who would deny they're metal? To me the most metally metal (the kind that emphasizes the difference between metal and rock) is all extreme metal, doom, and power (and the folk, symphonic and gothic styles that blend these styles plus bring their own elements). The definition of metal changes with the times as music expands. Korn is both metal and not metal depending on how you want to look at it. There's no right answer when it comes to this, it's all just down to opinion, though popular opinion and conforming to this will make it seem there might be a solid answer. i'd say musically Korn is a type of metal, nu metal, but they are not METAL in spirit.
Q:I looking to get the whole Metal Gear collection. Besides the Original one for Nintendo which Metal Gear games will work on the PS3? Also I can't rember which one it is but which Metal Gear is it were Snake meets Otocon and Rex for the first time
Extracting a metal from a metal oxide IS reduction. Why? When it's part of an oxide, the metal has a charge (a metal oxide is an ionic compound). For instance, in MgO, Mg has a +2 charge and O has a -2 charge. In Al2O3, Al has a +3 charge and O is again -2. When the metal is extracted, it has NO charge. So if you extract Mg from MgO, Mg goes from a +2 charge to a 0 charge by gaining electrons ... that's reduction. At the same time, oxygen goes from a -2 to a 0 (the element O2 is formed) by giving up 2 electrons ... that's oxidation. In removing Al from Al2O3, Al goes from a +3 charge to a 0 charge. Again, that's reduction. Oxygen is again oxidized.
Q:besides metallica,jimi hendrix,kiss ,slipknot,ac/dc,can u name some good bands?
It is due to the natural luster of the metal some metals rust or tarnish much quicker than others. Gold doesn't rust or tarnish at all.
Q:What are your favorite sub-genres of Metal? Is it Thrash Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Hair Metal, NWOBHM, Technical Death Metal, Groove Metal, etc?
Metal okorder
Q:Looking for a list of Industrial Metal Bands. What are your favorites?
metal gear solid 4 is the greatest game ever the only thing that is close is mgs do yourself a favor and rent ninja gaiden
Q:Best Rock/Metal Vocalist in History-Best Rock/Metal Guitarist in History-Best Rock/Metal Bassist in History-Best Rock/Metal Drummer in History-Best Rock Band in History-Best Metal Band in History-Who is the Best of the Best?- BQ- Feel free to say both the best Rock and Metal. Like feel free to say who is the Best Vocalist for both Rock and Metal, just as a BQ, not with the question.BQ2- Who is the WORST in each category?
Metal Age would be the iron age, bronze age and copper age. These are preiods in history labels by the metal used in most tools. Before then was the stone age,While we're still in the Iron Age, some have suggested the Silicon Age is a better distription. Could you measn Mental Age? IQ used to be computed by divining a tested mental age by the person's chronological age, then multipled by 100. As example if a 10 year old scored at a 15 year old level, the mental age would be 15.
Q:This may sound stupid, but could someone please tell me all the diffrent types of metal and explain them??
you mean hardest, like you're testing with a rockwell tester? i'll assume you mean pure elements, so a compressed sample of tungsten would be quite hard. as to resistivity to corrosion, all metals can be affected by acid, I would guess that the more electronegative the metal was, the more resistance it would have to corrosion. the earth and alkalai earth metals react violently, and support this assumption. good luck hold up i just checked my materials engineering textbook, and it said that gold and platinum were the hardest metals to corrode. if you've done any chemistry, you'll know that gold will accept electrons from most other elements, and is actually more cathodic than water. (meaning that it will not (unforced) dissociate into water.
Q:and how many metal gear games are there and howmany metal gear solids?
Metal, because it has structure and is more versatile than Hardcore. There are also more styles and requires more skill than hardcore. Hardcore focuses on repitition, chanting, breakdowns and stupid dancing. You basically tune your guitar to drop C and use one or two fingers to play the same riffs over and over. Hardcore is so boring that it occasionally tries to get lumped in with the metal crowd by adding heavier distortion to their guitars. So yeah, I pick Metal.
Q:which do you like more?and what game from that series?me:Metal Gear 4 from Metal Gear series.what about YOU?THANKS!
These are the 7 metalloid elements (boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, tellurium, polonium) they have some metallic properties but not all them. The other elements in these groups to the left of the metalloids are metals and the rest are non metals including two gases (nitrogen and oxygen).
Q:Electricity is defined the flow of electron. Then why the non metal do not conduct the electricity.
The reactivity of metals depends on the ease with which they lose electrons. The most reactive metal atoms (K, Na, Ca, ) lose electrons easily to form positive ions. Less reactive metals such as Cu and Ag do not lose electrons easily. In the reactions you are thinking about more reactive metals will displace less reactive metals from solutions of their salts because they are able to 'force' the less reactive metal ion to take electrons and the less reactive metals are displaced from teh solution eg Zn (s) + Cu2+(aq) ---> Zn2+(aq) + Cu Zn atoms give 2 electrons to Cu2+ ions
