- it all depends on your laptop. i just bought mine last month but it is low wattage and havent yet had to have a cooler. The more powerful your laptop,the more you wanna use a cooler. Faster processor;s us more energy,larger screen use more energy, and so on. I hope that helps. I have a toshiba 13 inch laptop with a celeron dial core( the least powerful pdual core processor made specifically for laptops) so thats why i dont need one.

How is it, that this universal charger is able to work with any laptop as they claim? - It is in the category of if it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. I would never hook up one to my laptop. The main concern is that there is a range of voltage that the power bricks operate on and especially if you run one with the voltage too high, it stands a good chance of frying your machine.
