Q:The basin faucet has been replaced with glass glue
Oh, this is very simple. With a knife can be removed
Q:It's very important that I do this the right way. (I sort of told the people I was working with that I knew how....but I don't) I bought a new faucet from Lowe's, and it has instructions on the back but I think I'm missing something. They also said something about the plumbing being bad and hard to work with? I've never done any kind of plumbing in my life.
do you need a ptrap for the replacement snk
Q:There is no way to directly from the basin leading to the water tank inside the bucket
With a large plastic bottle obliquely placed in the basin, near the tap at the dig a hole, the bottom of the hollowed out. Small empty at the faucet, so drainage.
Q:Please use details. I am wanting to change my faucets. I'm okay with doing things myself so, I thought to install it on my own. Help, please, with the removal and installation. Thanks.
It would actually be helpful for you to go to a home improvement store and ask the people in plumbing. They can then show you what you're going to be up against, and how the various faucet models are fastened into the sink. Usually, for the type of faucet with two handles on either side of the spigot, there is a threaded water pipe coming down from the bottom of each valve. These then fit through the holes on the edge of the sink and you slip what's called a spanner nut onto these pipes, and tighten them up to fasten the faucet to the sink. You then attach the water supply lines to these pipes. For the types of faucet with the single handle in the middle, you may only have one threaded pipe with the water supply lines running up through it. One issue you may have in accessing the spanner nuts is that there's not enough room between the sink and back wall to access the nuts. In this case, you'll need a tool called a spanner wrench, which is basically a crescent-shaped metal clamp on the end of a metal handle that clamps down onto the nut when you turn it (ask the sales person in plumbing to show you one). Removing the old faucet can be the hardest part, especially if the old parts are rusted or corroded in place. You can also very easily break or strip old water cut-off valves when removing the corroded water lines, which will require that you replace them with the correct type (and you'll have to turn off the main water supply valve to do so). When you purchase the new faucet, you'll see how it gets connected in the instructions on the box. Various models have somewhat different actual mounting hardware. But, they're all basically the same (a type of spanner nut).
Q:I had new sink with faucet installed and think the faucet is too small since it is not over the drain. Kindly advise...
I think your Right cause if you wash your hands you won't have enough room and or the water will splash behind the taps and water will leak under the counter I changed mine because of that reason!! good Luck !
Q:What is the size of the faucet mounting hole in the sink basin?
The mounting hole of the standard mounting table should be 35mm in diameter.
Q:I just wanted to replace my kitchen sink but now that we have it in my cold water hose wont fit into the cold water valve.. they are both female ends. is there an adaptor i can use? do i have to replace the valve with a valve that has the right connection? and lastly what are these parts all called so i wont look like an idiot at the hardware store. thatnks for the help every one!
Well, the first thing the hardware person is gonna ask is "What kind of plumbing do you have?" (Copper, plastic, iron?) If the two female ends you have are of the same type (1/2" NPT, for example -- NPT standing for National Pipe Thread, and the 1/2" referring to the "nominal" inside diameter of the pipe, which is actually considerably larger), then it's a simple fix: Get a short 1/2" galvanized iron "nipple" (which, despite its name, has two threaded male ends), and that should go between the two female connectors and solve the problem. If the threads don't match on one side or the other, you'll need an adapter, which the hardware store can provide. If your valve is functional, you shouldn't have to replace it. Be sure to use teflon tape on the threads: As you're facing one of the male ends, tightly wrap a strip of the tape clockwise two full laps around the threads. (By wrapping it clockwise, the twisting of the female fitting onto it won't undo the tape.) The teflon tape not only fills any flaws in the metal surfaces; it also lubricates the joint so you can get it good and tight. PVC plastic pipe generally has NPT fittings for attaching fixtures; copper might have the same, or have "flare" or "compression" connections. Galvanized iron pipe always is fitted with NPT threads, and 1/2" is most common for kitchen and bathroom. PS: I just now saw your photos, which weren't yet posted when I started writing this. The pictures are too small for me to be sure what you have there, but maybe the problem is just that you have two connector tubes! Take one of 'em off at the other end, and attach the free end of the other one there. In selecting which one to detach, the one coming from the plumbing is probably far easier to access; the one going up to the faucet would require a basin wrench -- not a fun tool to use -- and a flashlight, and three hands! Congratulations on doing it yourself!

Q:Is the size of the washbasin single-hole double-hole faucet the same?
Pitch is the center of the standard 10 cm, is the same
Q:So, my cat is about 10 years old now and up until a few months ago he would drink his water out of his designated water bowl we set out for him. But one day I filled up the sink in my bathroom to soak some clothes in it and I noticed he LOVED drinking out of it. But soon, that was the ONLY place he would drink out of. For awhile I would fill up the sink and leave it there for him, but eventually that wasn't good enough for him. Now the water has to be running and he sticks his head under to drink. He won't drink any other water any other way and it's getting rather irritating. He will sit in my bathroom and meow until I turn on the faucet for him, sometimes at ungodly hours while I'm sleeping, and he just won't quit! Why do you think he has such high expectations? And how can I break this habit he's gotten into?
