Q:when wiring car speakers.. does the thickness of the wires matter?
This Site Might Help You. RE: when wiring car speakers.. does the thickness of the wires matter? do speakers function better with thick or thin wires?
Q:how to protect attic wiring during insulation in attic?
That must be some OLD wiring. All you can do is be very careful. This would be a good time to consider putting in new wiring.
Q:How do I wire an electrical outlet?
Buy a cheap 110 volt test light from Ace Hardware or Home Depot to identify whether the blue wires or the black wire supply electricity TO the switch and dimmer ( which is a switch as well). Once you have found out which one is hot all the time it is the supply, next you will need to get a wire from the switch location to where you want the new outlet to be. You will use a piece of 14/2 Romex cable containing 3 wires ( one black, one white, one bare). Install the wire in the new box, hooking the black wire to the gold screw, the white wire to the silver screw, and the bare wire to the green screw on the bottom of the outlet. At the switch location you have determined which wire is hot and the black wire is joined to that using a pair of pliers and a plastic wire nut, the white wire is joined in the same way to the white wires at the rear of the switch box, and the bare wire is joined in the same way to the bare wires at the rear of the box. You can now turn the electricity back on and your new outlet will be hot. If you are not up to the test, contact a local licensed electrician to have this easy job done for you. Expect to pay under $75 if you hire one.
Q:Looking for factory wiring for my 2008 Lancer es?
you cannot simply go with matching the colors factory radios have extra wires that are not needed with an aftermarket install most of the time (wires that control the dimmer on the radio, speed sensitive volume) you will need three power wires (constant, ignition, and ground), plus your speaker wires use a test light to test your wires, usually at the radio the yellow wire is your constant, the red is your ignition, and black is always ground to find your constant use the test light, it will be hot at all times so that your radio can remember the time, and your settings- next you need your ignition, it is only hot when the key is on or in the accessory position, to tell the radio when to come on- the ground is self explanatory to find which wires go to what speakers all you need is a 9v battery, put the positive end to a wire and test all of the other wires to the negative side and you will hear a crackling noise from a speaker when you have the right combination
Q:need info on dryer wiring?
Did you plug the unit in to the 220 volt recepticle designed just for that? They are not wired directly, you need the pigtail cord and plug.
Q:6000+ heat sinc wires?
Yes, the fan on your heat sink has a fourth wire that..............(tune back in tommorrow folks, for the conclusion), (sorry, somebody's telling jokes over here!) The fourth wire is a Speed control wire. The first wire,(Red), is 12VDC,(power), the second,(Black), is the ground, should be a Blue wire, for rpm sensor, and the fourth,(color codes vary), is the wire that the BIOS uses to speed the fan up when the temp of the cpu raises, slows the fan down, when it isn't used as hard. Temp of the cpu, is found through one of it's pins on the bottom of it.
Q:how to wire a dirt bike coil?
The two small wires are positive and negative. Most are color coded and if it's a OEM part, the negative will be the same color as the group of smaller wires connected to the negative battery cable. Each manufacturer uses different color codes and for instance, Kawasaki uses black with yellow stripe. The other wire will go to the positive side. If the coil doesn't have wire coming out if it, it may have a + or - sign by the terminals. In actuality, it doesn't really matter which way you hook it up because a coil doesn't really care which way the electricity travels. It's the collapsing magnetic field that creates the spark and not the direction or movement of electricity.
Q:Wiring Diagram ASAP HELP!?
I'm sorry to tell you this but I have searched on several occasions for automobile wiring diagrams and have yet to find one. I don't think they post them on the web. IMO your best bet is a Chilton or Haynes manual for your vehicle. If someone does give you a good site I would be very appreciative if you would forward it to my profile.
Q:Effect of current passing through wires?
a) When the currents through both the wires are in the same direction, the magnetic field due to each midway between them, by right-hand thumb rule, will be in opposite directions. This will result in attraction between the wires. b) When the currents through both the wires are in the opposite directions, the magnetic field due to each midway between them, by right-hand thumb rule, will be in the same direction. This will result in respulsion between the wires.
Q:What is difference in the wire that you get with the underground fence and regular insulated wire?
There isn't anything special about the wire that comes with the kit, it is just wire. If you have already installed the fence and just need to enlarge the area you can use your own wire just make sure it is the same gauge wire as is already hooked up.
