Q:Piston and piston bearings change?
there is more to it than that, first of all if you need pistons and bearings then more likely than not there will be excessive wear on the crankshaft, and also you are going that far, the heads should be rebuilt, because putting a new short block, with old worn out heads, invites more problems. Besides, it would be cheaper for you to buy a long block, and have it installed, than pull the motor and take it apart, add a few parts and put back together an undependable collection of old and new and worn parts. Personally I would put a later model 5.4 chevy small block engine, transmission with the wiring harness and computer. this will make a screaming quick firebird, with about the same fuel mileage.
Q:bearings & grease question?
When you put grease into bearings (cone and cup of a ball or roller bearing set) it does not change the tolerance of the bearings, i.e., make them looser. The grease fills the voids between the moving parts and takes up the tolerance with grease. If bearing tolerances are too great, or the bearing lacks sufficient grease, then differential loading will cause some parts to have significantly less tolerance than other parts and there will be points of excessively high load in some areas of the working parts. This will create excessive friction and heating.
Q:how much should it cost to replace all the bearings in my 300ex?
it really depends on how much damage is done. Axle Bearings. :Replacing bearings, axle, carrier and seals - $500 :just bearings and seals - $20 Front Wheel Bearings: :just both side bearings and seals - $30 Spindles, hubs. bearings and seals - $200 Swingarm Bearings: :Just beaings and seals - $25 :Swingarm, pivot bolt, bearings and seals - $500 Steering stem bearings :just bearings and seals - $15 :steering stem, bearings and seals - $200 the engine will be about $300 to sent out and have rebuilt by your local honda dealer. bearings are not something to put off, trust me, i know. if bearings wear out, they can destroys a lot of expensive parts, fast. be keep replaced often.
Q:The difference between spacers in skate bearings?
The difference is the axle diameter that they are for. If you measure the bearing, the opening is 8mm (5/16) Better skates come with 8mm axles and cheaper ones with 6mm axles (1/4) Since 8mm axles fit the inside of the bearings the spacers just take up the space on the axle between them. The spacers for 6mm axles have to have the small ends extending into the bearings to make up for the gap between the axle and the bearing.
Q:what is the best bearings company for my skateboard?
bones swiss
Q:Skateboard bearings problems/cleaning?
Take your bearings out and clean them
Q:Do you ever need to clean your bearings on your skateboard? If you do, then do you need to put oil on it?
i've had the same bearings for about 5 years and the only reason why is because of my bearing protectors. i have never cleaned them but i need new ones now. i dont think you should clean them. you should probably buy bearing protectors and you'll be fine. my board has been waterlogged about 3 times and my bearings still survived because of the protectors. well gl skating
Q:ford fusion engine rod bearings?
You rarely replace just the bearings because usually the crank is damaged or worn as well, and the entire crank kit should be installed. You are talking like .0002 clearance there. Well, it's a ford so give or take an inch or so should be like new. Kidding. Almost.
Q:Can some water ruin my bearings?
Wheel bearings are shielded, oiled and in many cases high density plastic. Driving through a puddle is trivial.
Q:when replaceing wheel bearings should you replace the hub too?
you really should replace the hubs too. if your doing the job then maybe your getting the bearings in crooked . it would be best to buy the hub with the bearings already in them from the factory.
