Q:wire diagram and manual
a small boats wiring cant be very complicated. If you're needing to replace it get a book called Small Boat Wiring or a similar. If you're trying to find a fault with existing wiring simply trace the existing wires remake all the connections as you go. I suggest you pull the lot out redo it properly. Except for the electric start you dont need super heavy cabling for a small boat. Tinned multi strand wire with a core diameter of about 2 mm is fine. Get a roll of red one of black ( or use red/black figure 8 cable) From the battery fit a service fuse of about 15 - 20 amp in line with the positive cable right near the battery. Use only properly crimped screwed or soldered connections. If the connection is ever likely to get wet then cover the connection with a piece of heatshrink tubing with a good smear of neutral cure silicone inside it. The silicone should squeeze out both ends of the tube when you shrink it. Dont make any joints mid run ( never in the bilges). Make sure the wiring is secured where it is out of the way is neat. Support the wire near the connections. Run from the switch panel to each item as a separate circuit, dont daisy chain. Give each item its own cable including the return (black wire) brought back to the panel. Be neat make a permanent record of what you've done. Fuse each circuit with a fuse rated about 50% above what that item should draw. Always carry plenty of spare fuses.
Q:I have a 1996 Cadillac Deville Sedan, and I bought a female wiring harness for it off of the internet. The Factory Wires doesn't include pink, but yet all the wiring codes say pink...the adapter I bought matches up to the Head Unit I want to replace the factory with, but when i put the battery back on and everything it doesn't turn on, I need to know how to wire this thing correctly, and if I bought the wrong adapter or not...Thank You.
do not take heed to the fairway police out the following. relying on what issues your questioning about, eliminating it ought to or may no longer reason issues. in case your anxious about your automobile magically blowing up, it WONT! you'll unlock a touch of airflow contained in the exhaust and also you'll have more advantageous skill. the automobile will also sound only a touch louder. in case you've already got loud mufflers like glasspacks it will be too loud on your style. Your verify engine gentle will sometimes turn on and rancid purely because your pc realizes that somethings lacking from the O2 sensor readings. As for gas economic gadget, anticipate little or no change. possibly a moderate progression because the exhaust flows more advantageous ideal without the reduce. Thats it! A cat isn't an mandatory gadget to the operation of your automobile. Its a downside to it. in case your anxious about the legality of it, its unlawful. yet purely how may you get stuck? possibly if its obnoxiously loud, you will get pulled over. in case you stay in a community that does emissions finding out and/or seen inspection to get your tags, your going to might want to positioned it again on once you pick to get those checks carried out. To the different answerers, if the asker became worried about environmentally conciousness they does no longer have requested this contained in the first position. thanks. I have a Mustang GT i have been using without cats for over a year. a lot more advantageous skill, sounds good, and totally reversible even as i pick to resume my tags.
Q:I have 16 gauge speaker wire, but i need a lower gauge. instead of spending money and buying a lower gauge can i double this wire up and have that make it a lower gauge? so i would have 2 negative and 2 positive wires going into the terminal.
18 gauge wire is pretty much standard for speakers. The only reason for a bigger gauge cable would be for a subwoofer setup. The connectors are pretty good actually. Have you ever noticed that the more you mess with a wire the more you have to cut it, re-strip it, and re-connect it? The connectors will eliminate that potential problem.
Q:i bought a wiring kit off OKorder it was a bullz 4 gauge kit. and i am running a rockford 500.2 n its rated for 700+ watts. so do you think my cheaper wiring kit is affecting performance? should i go snag up some bigger power wire for more power to run through it or is tht not how it wokrs?
if your wire is truly 4 gauge you will have no problems.the problem is some of the 'no name' wire companies over rate their wire.they will sell 6 or 8 gauge wire as 4 gauge. go to a car stereo shop and ask to see a piece of 4 gauge wire. if it way bigger than what you have you may want to upgrade.
Q:I removed my old door chime/bell a few years ago and replaced it with a wireless one. That one quit working and now I am attempting to install a new wired one again. The only problem is, when I removed my old one way back, I failed to label the existing wires to where they go. I have two wires coming out of my wall mount, one white, one brown and the both have a white and red wire sticking out of them. I am not sure which one/ones will connect to the FRONT and TRANS posts on my new chime. I don't have a rear door bell button so that is not a problem. Which wire goes to the FRONT and TRANS and do I cap off any of the 4 wires? My installation instructions don't cover the mindless mistake of not having the wires labled.
Garage door springs are part of the garage door itself, not the garage door opener. That said, it must also be added that the springs make it much easier to raise and lower the door. They generally last a long time, and they have only one function. But over time, all that lifting, through all those weather changes, tend to weaken the metal and lead to a break. In my case, the springs appeared to be original to the house, which means they've been at work since 1956. Once you understand that long record of service, it becomes a little hard to complain when they finally break down. And break down they did. It was a Sunday afternoon, and we were sitting around the quiet house reading. Suddenly, we heard a large noise that sounded like a very heavy object had fallen on the roof, or maybe a car had driven into the side of the house. I quickly started hunting around for the cause, and couldn't find a thing. So much noise, and no noticeable cause? Didn't make sense . . . until I went out later and tried to open the garage door. Even then, it took me some time to figure out that the spring had split. Once I discovered it (see photo), I knew I'd found the source of the noise. With a broken spring and a solid wood door to a two-car garage, you really can forget about opening the door. I couldn't lift it more than an inch.
Q:One wire has part of the plastic coating on the end, the other wire does not.
the lead is the wires showing. lead wire can also mean attaching a wire and feed it through a wall attach other end to the wire and pull it through. Now if you need both ends to have wire showing take a utility knife firmly place wire on block of wood and lightly cut through the caseing. thats the thick wire that en cases the other wires and peal back and then cut it off. then carefully hold blade of utility knife and wire aganst your thumb on a 45 degrees away from you and pull that will strip the plastic off the wires hope that answers your question dave
Q:how we can predict the maximum load that stainless steel cable wire can achieved?
The specifications are on the spool.
Q:Can you swap out a 1984 Porsche 944 wiring harness with a different car's wiring harness? If which car. Thank you.
Could it be done by someone with tons of experience? Sure, but why would you? You would spend hours upon hours patching things and cross connecting. The fact that you are asking this question means you don't have an iota of mechanical or wiring experience making the point moot. So for you? No. You can not swap out the harness for some different cars wiring harness.
Q:wiring for generator
8 copper 3 conductor plus the ground in a portable power cord. Consult the local electrical code for what type and how they will allow it to be installed. This goes from the generator to the transfer switch. Each circuit that will operate from the generator is then wired to the transfer switch. Some AHJ require conduit for the cable. Also in many jurisdictions you must report to the utility that you have a generator wired to the home wiring. It is much easier and cheaper to run extension cords to the 3 or 4 vital places in a home. Refrigerator, freezer, microwave and a couple of lights.
Q:I am trying to hook up my motorcycle turn signals but am having trouble with the wiring. Off of each signal stem comes a red wire (positve) and black wire (negative). Then coming form my bike I have a purple wire, blue wire, and green wire. I was messing around with the connections and was able to get all my signals to light up, but not in the fashion i need, like blinking correctly. Any suggestions? Do I need to split the wires? Does one wire go to the left signal and one to the right?
Does the flasher work? Are you using two filament bulbs? The green wire is a ground. The blue and purple sound like HD wiring, one is for blinkers, and one for running lights.
