BV Sheathed Wire
Introduction
Wires can generally be divided into the following kinds:
Plastic copper wire: generally with the threading pipe used together, and more for the construction of the construction of concealed works. To distinguish between different lines of zero, fire, ground, design a different surface color, generally more representative of the red line "Fire Wire”, two-color line represents" ground”, blue line represents the "zero line”, but due to different occasions and different construction Of the conditions required, the color distinction is not the same.
Sheath line: A kind of double-insulated wire that can be used for exposed wire construction outside of a wall. Due to its double-layer sheath, its insulation performance and breakage resistance are greatly improved, but the cooling performance relative to the plastic copper wire has been reduced,so do not advocate multiple sheathed wire bundled with the use; that would greatly reduce its cooling capacity, too long will cause damage to the aging wire.
Rubber line: rubber line also known as waterline, as the name suggests can be soaked in water using the wire, and its outer layer is an industrial insulating rubber, can play a good insulation and waterproofing. Rubber line can be said for outdoor use, construction, and its good anti-damage performance and waterproof performance by many construction, industry, aerospace, marine and other departments widely used.
Home wiring can be divided into three types:
1.Hard wire (BV): for power supply, lighting, sockets, air conditioning
2.Soft wire (BVR): for power supply, lighting, sockets, air conditioning
3.Hard and soft wire (weak wire): respectively composed of a single wire and a number of copper core wire
BV line purchase precautions
1. Whether accord with national electrotechnical commission recognized product quality.(or "CCC certification)
2. Whether conform to the requirements of the electricity quota, product inspection certificate, product quality identification.
3. The purity of copper, the higher the purity the better the quality.
4 package copper core of PVC material quality, the better the quality, the lower the risk of leakage.
5. Each roll of wire length standard, whether the weight is enough, using temperature was minus 30 to 70 degrees Celsius.

- Q:I have a lot of equipment in my local and I'm suffering about big cargo in electric wire for your knowledge voltage 220 Ventensity 30 Awire Demetre 2.5 mmwhat should I do for avoid the damaging of disgenctor or burning of wire
- The wires too small for 30A! You need to upgrade the wire size or lower the amperage! The set-up you now have is just begging for a fire! Be Careful! ;-)
- Q:How to use a multimeter to detect the cable is good or bad
- Because you say that the location of each water is a wet circle, then I certainly upstairs when doing waterproof, no water pipe around the additional layer, is not to take care of these weak links, resulting in water infiltration, the basic exclusion Wall tube pipe cracks, if the crack, then, is a large area of water seepage. You finally find upstairs to solve, if the delivery is still within five years, you can also find the property to help solve. If you can help to you, I hope you can adopt in time. '
- Q:i broke my phone they only way i can fix it is if i know how to reconnect those really paper thin, tape like wires.
- Are you talking about the ribbon cable? Did it actually break or just come unplugged? If it broke you will need to buy a replacement.
- Q:I am changing out my range hood and in the process I realized that my electrical wire will be about a foot short to where I need it to be. Is it ok to just get a piece of wire and extend it using wire nuts? I really dont want to run a whole wire.
- The answer from Gary was basically correct. There is no NEC requirement that the electrical box you use be metal. There are plenty of others out there. If you do use metal, it must be properly grounded. The junction box MUST remain accessible. NEVER bury a live junction box. The receptacle in the upper cabinet is a good idea. If you do this, you can buy a 'pigtail' cord to connect the new hood. This is a cord that has a plug already molded into one end, and exposed wire ends on the other.
- Q:i am remodeling a bathroom. i see that the wiring is old. the main service panel was just replaced but the wires werent since i already have the bathroom walls opened up. i want to replace the wiring.the electrician said to use 12-2 wires for outles and 14-2 for light switches and fixtures.ok. i got that. ive been looking on diagrams that have outlets switches and fixtures and none of them tells what type of wire to use wheredo i need to bring two wires from the service panel up to the bathroom? one 12.2 and one 14.2?i have a VERY LIMITED space for more breakers and i dont want to have a breaker for just the outlet and a breaker for just the switch and fixture. i want to put the entire circuit into one breakeri read in some websites to never mix 12 wire with 14 wire. but that i should use 12-2 for outlets and 14-2 for switches. how can i do that?do i just use the 12-2 wire? also. the breaker i have for the bathroom i believe its 20 amp.
- Keep it simple - you're not adding enough wire to complicate things by running two types of wire, just use all 12-2 with ground (commonly called 'romex') Use a GFCI protected outlet. If the switch and outlet are going to be near/next to each other - I would bring the wire up from the circuit box to the outlet/switch, and from there on up to the light fixture - as opposed to running power to the light first, and then another wire down to the switch and back. I ran my entire house with 12-2 w/ground, when we put in all new electrical, shortly after buying it. It originally had 60 amp service, and cloth wrapped wires. It would have cost a bit less in electrical wire, if I'd ran most of the outlets with the lighter gage 14-2 w/ground - but you can ONLY use 15 amp breakers (or less) with 14 gage wire.with the 12 gage wire, you can run the 20 amp dedicated circuits required by code for certain appliances (built in microwave, for example). And - many of the new televisions today require 20 amp circuits. You can put 15 amp breakers on 12 gage wire circuits - but you cannot put 20 amp breakers on 14 gage wire. Hopefully - you checked to see if you needed a permit to do any of this work before starting it. Remember, when in doubt - call an electrician Have Fun
- Q:I am installing a surround sound system. I am placing the speaker wire inside the walls near electrical wires.
- the warmth duct in elementary terms gets to approximately a hundred and ten°F, properly below the ignition element the cord. If it is not too warm for a human to the touch it is not too warm for the cord. Heating ducts are many times electrically related to Earth floor. A harm interior the insulation, a foul splice, or uncovered splice ought to reason a short. A partial short could reason arcing. AWG24 is small. it is in simple terms stable for various Watts. Sending intense means interior the path of the cord reasons it to warmth up, and the insulation fails, and if it keeps the steel itself can burn. Melted insulation from small cord like that could seize fireplace from spark or adequate warmth. The ignition element isn't very intense. i will truthfully reason AWG24 to seize fireplace. putting enjoyed ones chemical aspects on the cord does not going reason a fireplace. Acetone, alcohol, and such dry at as quickly as, there'd be no longer something left to reason a fireplace.
- Q:I love to watch home remodeling shows with my boyfriend (who's an electrician), and we can't help bursting out laughing when people screw up electrical wiring. They think they know what they're doing, but they really don't. I saw one episode where they were trying to remodel their kitchen, and spent 5 minutes just trying to turn off the power. Then they go and cut through a live wire from a different circuit! Do you find this hilarious too?
- I bet the cannibalistic chefs are interested.
- Q:What to identify the wire is good or bad
- Mainly used in the engine room or network management center. A network device for connecting an external optical fiber to each port of a fiber optic device and various optical interfaces.
- Q:I have a 2003 Acura RSX base model with 80,000 miles on it. Over the last 2 weeks I have had a problem with my dash. Sometimes when I turn off my ignition, the dash lights will turn off and on and it will make a beeping sound. It will do this until I put the key back in and restart the car. It does not happen every time I turn off the ignition, only once in a while.Does anyone know the cause of this? Is this something I should worry about?I know about 6 months ago I had an instance where my car wouldn't start one day and I had to jump it, but when i took it to the shop they found nothing wrong with the battery or alternator. Also, the car has started fine ever since. Maybe something going wrong with electrical wiring?Thank you in advance for your help.
- On normal condition, the beeping sound is appear when you already turn off the engine and open the driver door but the key still hold in the hole, it's a security system to avoid key left. If the sound appear when the door still close, do check the wire connection between the key, the door, and the security system. A loosen wire will cause the sensor have a false reading. A bout 6 months ago problem, a lack of battery power can be the cause and when the engine has turn on the charging system is working and the battery is fine again after recharge. Do check the work of alternator and battery capability to save power.
- Q:Hello, we have several plugs that have no ground wire. The electrical wire for most of those plus seem to be running through the ceiling (not accessible that I know of). There is a basement and it looks like the plugs that have been grounded are connected to a cold-water pipe. We would like to tap in a junction box in the basement, and run a new wire (that includes ground) to a non-grounded receptacle by drilling a hole through the floor. Then, run the wire externally on the wall, drill another hole right below the receptacle cover to insert the wire inside and make the connection. Is the external wire against code? Does it have to be hidden inside a wall?
- No you can't run it exposed Thats what is called exposed to physical damage and has to be protected, and for the fella saying it may be BXHAHA! The outer jacket of BX IS NOT a Ground!! Back when BX was used they used 2 prong outlets, Hence NO GROUND! If you don't know Electrical work, Call an Electrician and don't give recommendations that you are clueless about!
