I have lemon and lime trees in my back yard. The lemon is a Ponderosa lemon and makes lemons the size of footballs if you pick off most of the fruit. It isn't as easy a grow as a lime tree. Here they grow like weeds and the only problem is when it freezes. We call them Mexican limes and everyone else calls them key limes. We squeeze them on most things and are much healthier for it. Limes come in all at once so it's feast or famine but my poor little lemon tree just keeps several big lemons on it getting ripe so I can pick one every so often. If you are further north or live in colder areas, they just aren't for citrus. I also have a ruby red grapefruit tree and a juice orange and a wild orange...grew up from below the graft and so is sour...but good for marinades are people that must control sugar and you can sweeten with diet sugar. All citrus grows well in warm climates without freezes quite easily. Other fruit trees require days of freezing weather and at certain times for them to grow and produce correctly.

Vinegar is very useful for bringing a 'sour' or 'tart' flavour to dishes. There are no real precautions, other than to use a little at a time because if you put too much in at once, it will pretty much ruin the recipe. Lime has a similar function, but a more 'citrusy' flavour; it goes great with Mexican-style dishes. No real precautions other than, try not to squirt it in your eyes - it's not a pleasant sensation. :)

Q:I have this really cool bug. It's a big moth. I have it in a container with a screen on top. I want to feed it. I want to keep it alive long enough so I can have a friend take pictures of it. I live in Canada and I have a key lime tree that is about 4 years old now, I started from a seed. Its a house plant but I put it outside in the summer. It is about 3 feet tall. The one thing I realize is, that I need another key lime in order for it to germinate, so I'm never going to see any limes, but I like to use the leaves in my Thai cooking.

Liming I did two years ago still appeared to be effecting hydrangea shrubs last fall. If you can, test Ph throughout, then you can be in control and do what''s best for grass or what shrubs you may also want. Depending on the lime that might not break down as you would want in winter, just a suspicion, and if you use powdered lime that might sit on the ground till spring rains anyway. Your Ph must be abominable low to want to lime in winter. I took a Ph of 3.0 out by some pitch pines once, using an alternative ground cover there.

Sorry! I looked but could not find any. If you want you can design your own shoes with Nike id. I did that for volleyball, but designed running shoes. I even got my initials on the back of them. It's a bit pricey but totally worth it! Hope this helps!!
