Q:what is heat hydration of cement.?
To simplify and expand upon what the other answer said: Concrete becoming a solid isn't a matter of the mixture simply drying out. It is a chemical reaction between the water and the cement. The chemical reaction gives off heat during the process. We keep adding water to concrete during the curing process so that there is enough water in the mixture to completely react all of the cement, rather than allowing the heat to cause some of the water to evaporate before it gets a chance to react. The heat of hydration is the amount of energy given off (as heat) during the reaction.
Q:How to permanently get rid of the cement residue on new cement garage floor?
Muriatic acid is commonly used to clean concrete. Read and heed ALL of the safety warnings on the bottle. Full face shield, long heavy duty rubber gloves, don't skip anything. The acid is nasty stuff. But it will do the job. Just follow the directions on the bottle for mixing and use. You can get it at any hardware or big box store. Alan
Q:Does cement really float?
Yes. Lots of boats are made from cement. It all has to do with displacement and shape. Google Ferro Cement Boats.
Q:how water cement rato affect the strength?
The maximum water-to-cement ratio may be established by the customer or authority having jurisdiction based on anticipated exposure conditions. Concrete is designed to withstand a certain maximum load per area before failing, known as compressive strength A number of factors influence the concrete’s ability to withstand the force from an applied load, such as the size, type, quantity and gradation of aggregates, the type and quantity of cement and/or supplementary cementitious materials, the amount of mix water, the age or maturity of the concrete, and the production practices used in placing, consolidating and curing the concrete. Small changes in any of these variables can have a profound effect on the concrete’s compressive strength, permeability and durability.
Q:I just got a model kit, and it says I have to cement plastic parts together? Where do I get cement?
Polystyrene cement. For some reason it seems to be less well known in the USA than Europe. Use with care; it melts the surfaces together for a tight, strong bond but stray drips can wreck a model; don't squeeze the tube!! Superglue (crazy glue) is safer to use because you can pull the bits apart again if you mess up but it not as good as cement.
Q:i would like to know how cement is manufactured.?
Q:Dried rubber cement, what can I do?
Nothing wrong with your English... Look on the can/bottle see what solvent was used to make it. You should find something like acetone, hexane, heptane, benzene or possibly something else. After you've determined what the solvent is, call some art supply stores see if they carry that solvent. The solvents in rubber cements evaporate very rapidly, so you should keep the lid tightly closed until ready to use, then put the lid back on tight. Good luck...
Q:What is the cement used in dental braces?
It's called, simply enough, dental cement, but chemically, it's usually zinc phosphate. Sometimes the zinc phosphate is mixed with polyacrylic acid, creating polycarboxylate cement. and in response to the additional detail: I don't know how the zinc phosphate cement is removed, but for the carboxylate, they use organic acids (especially citric, I think).
Q:This year, steel, concrete, sand, stone and other building materials prices how, compared with last year is high or low? As long as probably, do not need too much can also,
The current price has been going on for some time, it is likely to be adjusted in the near future, so yo now as soon as possible shot up, up will rise a lot, if the drop will not drop a lot, so I suggest that as long as you have place to place, buy early
Q:I am looking for the certain type of Cement, which is Cement 500 made in USA. Where I can find it?
Price!!! Im building a house in Mexico. Its the first house I have ever built so im learning a lot. But let me tell you from my experience. Building out of brick and cement is a lot more expensive and difficult than wood. If built right, a brick house can last for centuries. A brick house can have all the look of a wood house too. Which is what most american like and are used to. The cost though, is greater for the bricks. Brick houses are still build in the US, but not too often.
