Q:30kW what is the flow rate of the pump?
Without a lift, how can I calculate it for you?
Q:I have a 1997 15hp Mercury 2-stroke outboard. When I run it it runs great and does what i want it to do. However, sometimes it doesn't pee. I can still hold my hand in the stream when it does but its very very hot. It always pees when i run the motor WOT but when im just chugging along it goes out for a bit and then comes back on. Is this supposed to happen? I was told by my dad that the thermostat regulates the pump so that it doesn't cool the engine down too much. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated
The telltale stream should be flowing all the time. Check if this engine has a termister and replace the imbeller
Q:Submersible pump capacity I was 1500W, the normal use of voltage is 220 kV line 600 meters with 6 square aluminum after the start of the effluent is small, and the voltage of submersible pump is reduced to 150 volts could not use voltage of 380 volts (two).
Absolutely not, because 220V is not the same as the 380V waveform. Submersible pump single-phase motor is generally single-phase capacitor motor. The working principle is different from that of the single-phase 380 motor. If the power capacity is enough, it is recommended that you increase the wire (you can buy a line and go to use, to avoid waste), preferably with copper wire.
Q:I have a 1997 ford ranger, during last week i noticed that the temperature started to go up, i noticed that the coolant recovery tank was empty so i added coolant and it fixed the problem, but a day later i noticed that the tank was empty again since it started to overheat again. This time i let the engine cool off and checked the radiator water levels and noticed it was dry with no water, so i added water and noticed that i was leaking from what it seems the water pump (im guessing its the water pump because is behind the engine fan, behind the belts, its hard to see), Does anyone have a possible explanation or suggestion of what i should do? Thank you i would really appreciate it.
You will need a new water pump if it is comming from where the fan bolts on. If its around the outside of it, it could just be a gasket but I doubt thats the case.
Q:300M head of 11 stage centrifugal pump with 22KW motor, empty (not water) current of 13A, the water into the pump, current up to 44A, open the outlet valve of the current rising to 100A, immediately shut the gate current is up to 170A, the motor stop. Without any problems, not on the impeller pump shaft is not clean the shell the balance sheet, no wear, bearing normal.
Main reasons: 1. bearing lubrication is not good or bearing quality problems appear peeling phenomenon, resulting in increased resistance to pump operation.2., the pump cover and impeller clearance is too small, the impeller mouth and pump cover friction.3 belt tight, resulting in heavier load.4. centrifugal pump power is proportional to the flow, the greater the flow, the greater the power needs, large, low head flow, resulting in heavy load.Water pump maintenance: 1., water pump to do routine maintenance, check the water seal every day, to prevent water damage, water directly into the bearings, accelerated wear and tear.2. belt adjustment should be appropriate, not too loose, too tight.3. strictly according to the standard operation, for the low lift pumping load, it is necessary to control the flow by throttling, thereby reducing the load.
Q:how do I know my water pump failed. 98 mustang V6 started to leak coolant from the front lower part of the the engine. How do I know for sure my pump is bad? Did refill and kept on leaking as I manage to get home. Little help please!
I count on he didn't disassemble the engine. Clearly this failure used to be from lack of good storage tactics. Lack of use is much worse than heavy use. I seen few outboards worn out, they're neglected to death. Having said that examine out my answer to a similar question today. Yes, failure of the water pump can contribute to this failure but a unfastened spark plug would not. The water pump should be replaced once per 12 months, or now not longer than two seasons, in spite of use. They take a suite because of age, and can fail with out warning. Whilst the first mechanic has some responsibility, I think you need to take the lions share. See owners handbook on storage tactics. Sorry!!!!!!
Q:I currently have a gould 1/3 horse jet water pump and a rusted pressure tank that I would like to replace. There are two bathrooms, both with showers, 2 bathroom sinks and the kitchen sink, as well as the washer. What horse power should I have for 5 faucets and what size pressure tank would be sufficient? The shower in the upstairs bathroom hardly has pressure at all with the current pump and pressure tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I personally have never seen a pump smaller than 1/2 horsepower. a 40 gallon pressure tank and a 1/2 hp pump should do it. You can adjust the pressure on the pressure switch just look under the cover and it should tell you which nut to adjust and which way to turn it. I have installed a few system like this.
Q:I just move to this house, it's been empty for a while. The water pump keep screeching everytime I turn it on. What can I do to get rid this noise?
Check if your water pump has an oil port, and put some oilers. The other possibility is that the pump impeller is coming loose or warped and rubbing. That means the pump is going out and needs rebuild or replacement. That is worse case along with a failing motor bearing.
Q:I need a 12v water pump capable of at least 40psi. The only website that i found is one where you have to order a minimum of 100.
Dude, you're out of practice. What do you mean by small? 12 volt what source? What is your purpose? Blowing imaginary evil fairies away would be so cool!
Q:I have a bad water pump on my golf gti.Engine is 2.0L. I just would like to know how hard is it to do it myself. And also is there some special tools that I need. How much time usually takes to get this done? Thank you
It's about like changing a timing belt. You might as well change the timing belt while you are in there. The water pump is driven by the belt. Get a manual like a Chilton and read it over and over again till you almost have it memorized if you are serious about this. You can usually look at a manual at a library free of charge. You can also copy the part you want on a copy machine. There are also online manuals. You might not want to do it after you read the procedure. If you haven't done it before it will probably take you all day. Be sure to have some band aides for your knuckles. As far as tools go, the VW engineers love allen head bolts. Don't try to use a allen wrench though, get some allen sockets that you put on your rachet.
