Q:Included in my EVGA 8800gs box was a 6 pin to 2x 4 pin molex power cable. My current power supply already had a 6 pin power cable.My Cooler Master 500w power supply has dual rails pushing 16amp each. The requirements for the EVGA 8800gs are:Minimum of a 400 Watt power supply.(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 22 Amp Amps.)Notice the 22 amp. To supply this power, am I supposed to connect the 6 pin to 2x 4 pin molex power cable to each of the 16amp rails from my power supply therefor providing 32amp? How am I supposed to get 22amps to the card?Most all power supplies I see that are dual railed go no higher than 20amp per rail.Any thoughts? Thanks,Brad

If you already have a 6 pin then your good to go. The 2x 4pin molex connectors are for the case if you didn't have the 6pin. The rails on a PSU are not independant, they are combined. Look for the maximum loading of your PSU.

Q:One day, all of a sudden my amp stopped working. I inspected the battery terminal and noticed their was corrosion on both terminals, cleaned it off, and I inspected the fuse in my positive wire for my amp and noticed the fuse was blown, replaced it and the amp would still not power on, I reinspected the fuse again and it had already blown, I replaced it once more and it did the same thing.

Theres a short either in the power cable or in the amp internally. Make sure theres in no portion of the cable thats rubbed through. Its more than likely a short to ground, or something internal to the amp. Make sure the fuse has the proper amp rating too. good luck

Q:Hi, Recently I bought nikon S550 digi camera from U.S, their power supply is different from India. In the power cable they mentioned 125 7A, do i need any convertor or directly i can use.

India power outlets run 220v, not 120, so you are going to need a converter or a completely new power-supply.

Q:Physically, I want to know what the cable looks like around the part that plugs into the laptop. I have a kink in the cable around that point, but don't know if cutting it and soldering is an option, depending on how complicated that part of the cable is. The rest of the cable is really simple (positive and negative) but does it get complex at the end?Note: I'm only talking about the cable, not the laptop jack itself. I'm talking about the end farthest away from the brick, that plugs into the laptop. I wanna know what that looks like, and how easy it would be to repair.

Replacing the end of a power adapter is not something that is recommended.If not done correctly, you could surge the system board and do hundreds of dolars of damage to the PC. (At lot more than the cost of a new power adapter. The wiring it going to be unique to your make and model of computer. Check the web site of the manufacturer and see if they have a wiring diagram. If not, contact their support line. But only they can answer your question.

The monitor needs a power cable and a data cable. The data cable will plug in to the video socket on your PC.

Seeing as the power cable gives the system the power it needs to run, no, you can't play without it. However, you are able to play with both the power cable AND the HDMI cord. There's enogh space for both to fit into the console, and the power cord plugs into a wall outlet while the HDMI cord plugs into your TV's HDMI slot. There shouldn't be any problem with room.

Q:Hi All, i have a star sound 1200w 4way amp which i want to use just for my sub for the meanwhile as im waiting on a monoblock, please tell me if i can install the amp without the fuse that connects straight on the power cable?? and what is the main reasons for that fuse? thanks in advance

You could connect it without the fuse but if something shorts out your going to fry the wiring. That's fuse is there for a reason, I wouldn't recommend not using it.

Think outside the box. Literally. You don't have to go through the passenger compartment...you can run the wires under the vehicle. Just be sure to tie them up well. Good luck.

Yes...all psu cables are interchangeable...all are 3 pronged..have been sence the 80's.....some psu makers don't even include them with new psu's figuring you'll have a extra laying around EVEn you monitors cable well work..
