Q:The Crane in Barbados...?
The okorder.com/ If you only are focusing on relaxing at your resort/beach then renting a vehicle is not necessary.
Q:Is there a phobia name for the fear of construction cranes?
Devastator-aphobia. Sorry. It's a bad reference to the Transformers cartoons in the 1980s. The constructicons were robots who linked together to form Devastator. It was kind of a Voltron rip-off, except with backhoes and forklifts instead of robot lions.
Q:Is Alan Shore Denny Crane's son?
NO. They are good friends.
Q:what was the signifigance of the paper crane during WWII???
www.pacificfriend.ca/html/one_tho... This site will give you the story of the Japanese girl during the time of WWII. It is a touching story.
Q:If a friend folded a thousand paper cranes for you what would you think?
O.o that weirdo has alot of free time on his hands~
Q:Biology Question - whooping cranes?
Well, a bottleneck reduces the number of organisms in a population or species down to a much smaller number than previously existed. In the case of the whooping crane, the species underwent a bottlenck event (although what it is I'm not sure), leaving us with less than 12 individual birds. The more widely accepted number of 6-8 birds has given rise to the several hundred whooping cranes alive today. Since only half a dozen sets of genes were used to create the several hundred, there is not much genetic variability.
Q:What should I do with 1000 paper cranes?
Well if you don't want to keep them you can look up organizations that wish to use them for a project. There are a lot for Japan, one that was organized recently for the tsunami was accepting cranes for a fundraiser (every crane sent in earned a certain amount of money with the finished collection being placed in an art museum). I know some hospitals accept cranes for the children's ward, that is what my class did in elementary school we made 1000 and the hospital used them as decorations for the Christmas tree. Then there are individual projects that people start online with which they are accepting cranes to fulfill the one thousand mark for people they know who are sick etc. (relates to the story behind the 1000 paper cranes practice). As a side note if you contact the organization you find a lot of the time the shipping is prepaid you just have to drop them off at the post office. Hope this helps.
Q:What is the worlds heavy-est crane lift?
It is MTC 78000 in offshore industry. It can able to lift nearly 2000 tonnes and is one of the world's biggest slewing cranes.
Q:What are the parts of a tower crane? What are their main functions?
The structural elements include the followingMain arm: carrying weight, and making the trolley have walking track.Balance arm: put up lifting mechanism, electric box, counterweight, and make tower crane to achieve balance torque, reduce the standard section of the bending moment.Tower cap: connect the main arm with the balance arm by the tie bar, so as to reduce the bending moment of the standard section.
Q:Daddy longlegs/Crane Fly... Most venomous creature on earth?
It is a complete myth. Confusion can arise because there are three different animals commonly called daddy-long-legs - spiders of the family Pholcidae, harvestmen (which are arachnids, but not spiders), and crane flies (which are insects). The myth about 'daddy-long-legs' being extremely venomous was originally applied to pholcid spiders, perhaps because they often kill highly venomous species like the black widow. Because the name is shared by harvestmen and crane flies, the myth is now often applied to them too. It is false in all cases. Whilst pholcid spiders are venomous, their venom is far too mild to be dangerous to humans - it causes nothing more than a slight tingling sensation. Harvestmen and crane flies have no fangs or venom whatsoever, and are completely harmless.
