- Q:We've added two more rooms to our house and the main walls are standing, you can see the bricks itselfAnd I'd like to give it a sound insulation material, because I'm a drummer and I'd like to drum in my room :)Do You know any suggestions, what kind of material would be the best to choose?.and also, it shouldn't be too expensive! Maybe around $1000 for the whole room, or for the critical places(the room is 22 square meters big)
- If you have a lot of money, the moral thing to do is to donate as much as you can to those who are less fortunate (NOT those who are just too lazy to work) and other causes that are important But of course, there's nothing wrong with living comfortably yourself-a nice house, a reliable car, and trying to provide your kids with the best education possible should be sufficient If you WERE to live the super-rich lifestyle you describe in your question, you'd find that after all that spending and globe trotting, you'd still be unhappySo, live comfortably, give generously, and be happy.
- Q:I want to increase the heat conductivity of clay cookwaresI think metal filings will have minimal expansion when heatedCan the metal filings be added during the firing of clay?
- Since you didn't get an answer the first time, I'll state the obviousFrom everything I've read, your wooden skewers will most like burn if they are not pretreated by soakingI have two suggestionsTake the food off the skewers, pretreat them and them put them back togetherWhere did you buy these pre-made kababos? Check with the store to make sure that the skewers have not already been pre-treatedAnyone selling these should know of the risks of cooking with untreated woodPerhaps you'll get lucky and they will have been pre-treated alreadyIf not, don't take a chance on ruining your already yummy-sounding mealTake them apart and put them back togetherIf it's just the handles that are wood, cover them with foil as you yourself already suggestedIf not, you could always cover them entirely with foil but that would defeat the whole purposeSorry I didn't have some magic solution.
- Q:My wife and I just bought a duplex with central air in both sides (seperate units)Unfortunately our AC seems to not work wellIt was 78 degrees in the house, about 77 degrees outsideWe set the AC to cool to 75, and it took about 45 minutesSounds like a massive waste of electricity to meSince I have installed AC units before (with my father) I know a little about themI changed the filter and checked the registersOnly cool air is blowing out when it comes onI'm hoping its not a freon issue, since I remember charging units, but I cant remember which of the three hoses on the gauges go to the unit and which one goes to the tankAny suggestions/thoughts? Thanks!

- Hi, if you are not experienced in welding you will alot farther ahead with a MIG welderMuch easier to use and it doesn't require as much technique as TIGAll you really have to do (with steel) is turn the machine up till it burns through, then turn it down a bitGet your settings down on a scrap piece first, of courseYour project probably won't require anything more than a little stitch placed at strategic locationsAluminum is a bit more difficult and will require changing your wire and reversing polarity, might require help of your welder friendTry to stick to steel if possible, much easier to work withGood Luck.
