- Q:How much do you charge for carpet cleaning?

- yes, the rug still has fleas. If it has been below freezing the fleas are dead but the eggs are still viable. As the eggs warm up to around 70, they will hatch in 7-10 days. Just wash the rug before bringing it into your house. If you have not washed it yet, you may have to treat your house in a week. 1 flea can lay 600 eggs nd in 7-10 days, depending on the temperature, the eggs hatch. In 7-10 days the 600 fleas will hatch and a wee later they will each lay 600 eggs.
- Q:My grandmother just purchased a new rug to replace her old carpet. It moves very easily so it was recommended that she buy rug padding and attach it to the floor under the rug. She's worried that it will need to be stapled to the floor and in the event that the rug needs to be lifted/moved in a hurry she wont be able to move the padding, and it could get damaged.So my question, more specificially: Is there another way to apply the padding under the rug without permanently securing it (ie: staples)? - You have 2 options: You can buy either a special non-slip mat/material or a double sided carpet tape. Both will prevent a rug from slipping and can be found at most hardware / building supply or most anywhere that sells rugs and carpeting [Bed, Bath Beyond, etc.] The mat material is rubber-like and grips the flooring of it's own accord [it's the same stuff as the rubber type shelf liner material] Padding is used beneath wall to wall carpeting.
- Q:Im replacing a carpet afrer one and a half year use.can i use the same padding under the existing carpet?
- Yes you can. You pad should still be in good shape. When you order your carpeting just tell them you want to use the existing pad. There should be no problem.
- Q:What pigment is good for writing on the carpet?

- Q:The carpet is the basic (probably commercial) kind.
- Even with VERY thin carpet under Pergo, you won't be happy, the floor will feel very unstable and squishy when you walk on it, the boards will click and crackle, and you will void the warranty on the Pergo. I know it is trouble, especially if the old carpet is glued down, but do not do it. If you REALLY can't get the carpet up, you will have to put down another plywood sub-floor over the carpet, and then install the Pergo on that. Good Luck.

- Take it to the laundrymat and wash it in the BIG JUMBO machine with some detergent and all color bleach added BEFORE you put in the rug. You should also add some more all color bleach as if it ere detergent into the dispensing drawer. Use the warmest water possible. Tumble dry it about 1 hour on low after then hang it outside to finish drying.
