Q:The power cord will not be inside the wall, it will be through a sheet of drywall then in a closet that is under my stairs, at no time will the power cord be inside of a wall. It will just be behind the wall and in a closet where I will plug it into a surge protector. good to go??
I think some clarification is needed here. A contractor could NOT do this for you, because it is against NEC code (although some do anyway). You as a home owner, working on your own home, are not bound by these laws (in most areas - I here Chicago is tough). So the question becomes: Is this safe. With what you described, I see no danger in doing what you want to do. The issue of insurance is a point. If you use some cheap surge protector that happens to burst into flames and starts a fire. And an inspector for the insurance company comes out and sees the power cord, they could try to deny your claim based on that. Even though 'that' was not responsible for the fire. Your call.
Q:Power cable casing buried what are the requirements
2 direct laying cable way, should meet the following requirements: 1 cable should be laid in the trenches, and should be along the length of the cable on the next, next to the side of the shop with a thickness of not less than 100mm soft soil or sand 2 along the length of the cable should cover the width of not less than 50mm on both sides of the cable protection board, protective board should adopt concrete 3 urban cable buried in the laying, it is appropriate in the protection board laying eye-catching signs 4 in the suburbs or open areas, along the cable path of the line spacing of 100m, corner or joint parts, should be erected obvious signs or signs 5 when the use of cable through the corrugated pipe laying in the trenches, should be along the full length of the bellows casting thickness of not less than 100mm of concrete, the width should not be less than 50mm outside the tube, the cable can not armor 3 buried in the non-frozen soil area, the cable embedding depth should meet the following requirements: 1 cable to the basement of the basement structure, not less than 03m 2 cable skin to the ground depth, not less than 07m; when located in the carriageway or farmland, should be properly deepened, and should not be less than 10m 4 buried in the permafrost area, should be buried below the permafrost layer, when not buried can be buried in the soil drainage of dry frozen soil or backfill, but also take other measures to prevent damage to the cable The 5 Directly laying the cable, is strictly prohibited in the underground pipe is just above or below The minimum distance between cable and cable, pipe, road, structure, etc shall be in accordance with Table 535 Table 535 Permissible minimum distance between cable and cable, pipe, road, structure, etc (m)
Q:When the tv repair company comes out do they take your tv power cable or have there own one for tv
All TV repair people have all the power cables they could need. BUT... if they think that your fault could simply be a fault in your cable, then they may take it with them, though they would be more likely to try swapping it on your premises before removing the set.
Q:Can A bad battery or power cable cause a laptop to Blue Screen? Is there anyway to pinpoint the actual cause?
If the battery is bad and the lap top is shut down from lack of battery or power from the power adapter charger it causes the operating system to crash or causes whats called a hard shut down and this in tern causes the operating system to develop corrupt system files. Fix replace battery or use on the power adapter only and re install or repair the operating system using a set of recovery disc made for the lap top.
Q:Hello guyzz, recently i have bought new card powercolor radeon hd 6770 1gb gddr5 .i installed it but it required a 6 pin power cable forbut i checked in my all pc..i cant fine any 6 pin power cable.so without any cable its not working wat i do plzzz help.......
your problem will be solved. Also make sure your PSU is at least 300W before you plug that card in. Sorry for the wrong link. I have since replaced it. Your PSU is more than enough to power that card, the rest of your system and another 5770 in XFire.
Q:I just got done building my new computer, and am putting in my cd-room's.When i plug in the power to them they will open, but when i connect them to the motherboard with the ide cable they wont open. And yes i have everything plugged in right.
did you try a different CD rom? might just be broken.
Q:So I have this monitor that only has ONE port on it, which is a USB cable slot. Typically you would connect it to a laptop, and the USB cord also supplies it power at the same time display connection.
I'd really like to see what monitor you're talking about, and make sure that it has nothing except a USB port. Then I'll figure out the RCA power question.
Q:Hi, my computer power supply does not have a PCI-E 6 pin power cable for my graphics card, so therefore I found a 2 (4 pin molex) to 1 PCI-E power cable Y adapter.
Motherboard doesn't provide that connector for the video card. the power supply does. Take the side panel off and see if it has one. Can always use a 4/6pin adaptor. Most retail cards come with one. Just make sure you have enough watts and +12V amps on the PSU to run the new card. A lot of video card upgrades require an upgrade for the power supply as well.
Q:So my computer monitor keeps flickering on and off and I'm pretty sure the cable just needs to be replaced. My concerns or questions are,-Are all power cables compatible, or do I need a specific one for my model?-If not compatible, how do I tell what type of monitor I have or what it's model is?Deeply appreciated,Lauren
Hi Lauren, Dell monitors use the same power cable as the system tower does. They are interchangeable. You may try swapping the power cables of the monitor and the tower to be sure that the cable is faulty. Hope this helps. Regards, GauravS
Q:I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR Digital Cable box and yesterday when I arrived home, it was not showing the time or any evidence of power. The TV and DVD player work just fine, but not the box. I unplugged it, tried a different plug but no power. I hear the box working, but it never shows any sign of powering on. This box is maybe a month old.Any thoughts?
The power wont show because some thing might be damaged inside.
