Q:I heard or read an interview with Iggy Pop once, and in it he said he would go around to different factories and shops in the Detroit area to listen to the sounds the machinery and equipment made, and then use those sounds to influence his music.
No it's not the fact that bands use equipment or machinery to make the music. It means that the beats and sounds are heavier. Listen to Nine Inch Nails they seem to have a more Industrial Metal sound.
Q:I had heard that there was a statistic, but I'm not sure if there really is one. I was wondering if any of you knew.
And where did you hear that? I doubt it's true, lol thats so weird. I'll just wait for some answers lol.
Q:what kind of engineers make sawmill machinery?
Mechanical engineers most likely I have 'made' machinery for different plants. Technically, I design machinery, other people make it. I am a mechanical engineer and I need the assistance of an industrial engineer and an electrical engineer.
Q:I'm looking for a small lathe to place in my barn.
With the way the economy is today and with manufacturing companies going under you might be able to find a cheap machine at a local auction in your city. The market is flooded with a bunch of cheap machines that you can probably pick up at a cheap price. If you cant find a machine at an auction search the internet for a used machinery dealer. I’ve used JS Peters Machinery Sales in the past and they have done a decent job.
Q:What machinery is used to make sugar? From digging the ground to harvesting.......
Sugar is obtained from a corn-like cane that grows in tropical places, It is planted from small cut portions of the cane into the soil already prepared and fertilized, when the canes get as high as 6 feet, and the leaves start to get yellow, is harvested, in many places its burnt to get ready of the leaves with sharp cutting edges and some dangerous snakes that usually nest in the plantations. The cane itself as is full with sweet liquid doesn't burn and is collected and carried to the mill. The first part of the extraction is to pass the canes through a press of rollers that press the syrup out, keeping the dry cane to be used for fuel to use in the boilers. The syrup is boiled and the water is removed leaving a very dense paste that is then dried with hot air to get raw sugar in large crumbs, this crums are milled to get what is known as brown sugar in cystaline form. The brown sugar doesn't have any chemicals and is almost 100% from dried syrup. From the brown sugar, is processed white sugar by means of adding some chemicals to whiten and remove the sugar cane flavor that comes with the original syrup. The final product is what we buy at the store. The boilers designed for sugar mills are unique for they are able to work with the dry cane as with oil, reducing considerably the cost of operation. There are some by-products very important that make sugar mills a great industry, the process of drying produce also a burned taste sediment called molasses high in calories that is also comercialized as stock food.
Q:when is the next machinery handbook due to be released? 30th edition I believe.?
Sometime between today and the end of time.
Q:I'm talking about both commercial farms and subsistence farms. When I say mechanization, I'm referring to tractors, harvesters, threshers etc
I find tractors a big help to carry heavy loads plough the fields cut the hay and carry big bales of hay/straw..so thats an advantage farm machinery make farming a bit easier and you are able to do work quicker (i.e harvesting) and with out the need of to many labourers and less physical strain... disadvantage: they can be dangerous if not used/handled properly they can be expensive to buy compare to employing workers need fuel and maintenence which can be expensive they are not environmentally friendly
Q:Last night I had a scary dream that someone broke into my house and was right outside my bedroom door. In my dream I grabbed my gun out of the nightstand. I had no problem getting the clip in, but when I tried to pull back on it to load a round into the chamber I had a very difficult time and I had to press the butt of the gun against my body so that I could use two hands to cock it back. At that point I knew immediatly I was in a dream and woke up. I always struggle with using firearms in my dreams and I have even pulled the trigger before and nothing happens. This is the same with driving cars. If I get into my car and attempt to drive in a dream I just can't do it. I can't control the vehicle for some reason. It will roll backwards or stall out. What could this mean and has anyone else experienced this?
Yeah,me,.
Q:A 20kw,200V shunt generator is operated at rated load. if the driving engine is developing 30bhp (break horse power), determine the iron and friction losses.PLease use all the given data above..thanksAnswer is IFL=1039W.Thanks a lot.
This is the answer I gave to 2 other askers of the same question. brake horse power of an engine is the actual amount of horse power an engine can put out. Using 745.5 watts as a horse power, the engine will supply the equivalent of 30 times 745.7 watts at 30 brake horse power. This is 22,371watts. The generator is supplying 20 Kw or 20,000 watts. The difference in the engine output and the generator output is 22,371 minus 20,000 or 2.371 watts. I don't see how the answer is 1039 watts, if my calculations are correct. Perhaps someone else will have the answer you seek. I may be missing something in your question
Q:Does anybody have a product to make tires puncture free, specially ag machinery tires?
