Q:Ever time I try screwing in my power cable sparks fly.My amp has no off switch.and my car is turned off.wtf?Help me out/
first off, when installing anything electrical on your vehicle, ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST! (either side will work) on your amp you should see a + POS and - NEG and remote. the remote is 12 volt + POS this is your on and off switch. the lead wire that comes from your reciever (usually a blue wire that says remote, or a pink wire that says antennae) then hook up you pos and neg wires. (IT'S IMPORTANT TO INSTALL A SEPERATE IN LINE FUSE BOX TO THE POSITIVE WIRE THAT GOES TO THE AMP. W A 60 AMP OR GREATER FUSE)
Q:what is the difference in applications between single and multicore power cables?
Multi-core power cables are useful any time you're carrying a circuit in and out of an appliance at the same location. Usually that's just 2 plus an optional ground. For electronic devices with specialized power requirements, there may be several power lines in the cable carrying different voltages. Single-core power cables are especially useful in high amperage appliances, such as welding equipment, and in DC automotive wiring in which the chassis serves as the ground. Thick cables for high amperage are hard enough to manage and wire without being bundled into a multi-core monster. It also makes sense to use single core cables with a ground chassis so that you only have to run one wire, and just complete the circuit to ground at the point of use. Single-core power cables can also be useful in serial or parallel wired appliances, or power supplies, such as a string of lights, or an array of batteries.
Q:I have a Netgear router and just now when I tried to plug the power cable back into the back of it, it would fit. I look more closely and it seems that the metal end of the power cable may be slightly bent. But I'm still confused because it's bent at the end of the metal, and even though the very tip of it isn't bent, that part still won't even slide into place a little. Could anyone help me in resolving this issue?
If it is the correct adapter for the router and it fitted before, gently force it and it will comfortably fit eventually. There is probably a reason it doesn't fit now (it has been pulled out with some force) so I would suggest getting a new power adapter for it if the above does not work
Q:i bought a 650w power supply for my pc because i bought a graphic card that needs 550w. So my question is will my regular power cable which came with my computer work on the new 650w power box.P.S- my computer is a 300w
Yes. it is the same cable that comes with every computer, printer, monitor. OK it's the same cable that comes with 95% of them
Q:I need a cable to connect my SATA hard drive to my computer's motherboard (which already has the SATA ports). Is this the correct cable:
Yes. You will also need to power the SATA drive, so if your power supply doesn/t have the right connectors it, you will need an adapter.
Q:Is it safe to connect the case fans in line with the hard drive, or should I use a separate power cable?
All of those power cables are connected together in the power supply anyway, and neither a fan or hdd uses much power relative to what the wire can carry. I've always paid more attention to a neat physical layout for good airflow and never had a problem with what was on the same power lead as what. The hard drive should have it's own EMI filtering in it, and a brushless fan doesn't generate noise like a regular dc motor.
Q:why power cables are to be earthed at both ends?
To reduce the risk of electric shock. There are always leakage electrons from the power cable to the metalic equipment body, electric pole, and any metal part that are near to the power cable, which makes potential source of static electricity and thereby electric shock. To minimize this hazard by providing a path for the electrons to the earth is provided by the earthing.
Q:can we install power 480 VAC and control 120 VAC cables,,, each one in different conduit but in parallel and adjacent ?also for two control cables ,,,, can they installed in one conduit ?
it isn't the final thank you to do it. there may well be some capacitive or inductive coupling between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits that would adversely influence the controls. An unintentional short between the 480 and one hundred twenty circuits may well be a disaster on your controls.
Q:I was just wondering what ATX power supplies (exact model) that can support the Antec P182 computer case. Like, the power supply goes on the bottem of the case, but the power supply cables need to be long enough for it to reach the top of the case?Basically, I am trying to ask what ATX power supplies that have long cables? Thanks! :)
Usually they are enough long, but you still can buy separately wires to conect on them to make them more longer. They sell at bestbuy stores
Q:There are a few thin cables running from the power button on your computer onto the motherboard. What are these cables called?
Go to pc repair shop. And ash them.
