Excavators are used in many ways:
Digging of trenches, holes, foundations
Material handling
Brush cutting with hydraulic attachments
Forestry work
Forestry mulching
Demolition
General grading/landscaping
Mining, especially, but not only open-pit mining
River dredging
Driving piles, in conjunction with a pile driver
Drilling shafts for footings and rock blasting, by use of an auger or

Hydraulic drill attachment

Hydraulic excavator capabilities have expanded far beyond excavation tasks with buckets. With the advent of hydraulic-powered attachments such as a breaker, a grapple or an auger, the excavator is frequently used in many applications other than excavation. Many excavators feature a quick coupler for simplified attachment mounting, increasing the machine's utilization on the jobsite. Excavators are usually employed together with loaders and bulldozers. Most wheeled, compact and some medium-sized (11 to 18-tonne) excavators have a backfill (or dozer) blade. This is a horizontal bulldozer-like blade attached to the undercarriage and is used for levelling and pushing removed material back into a hole.

Q:Bosnia and Herzegovina is small, but beautiful country. It has pyramids (that are so amazing if you visit, and see them), Sarajevo the bigest and most beautiful city....Sarajevo film festival that is really popular here (I invite you all at SFF, it begins in august). Traditionals food like cevapi or pljeskavica (mmmm that`s so good). Beautiful mountains, and picnic grounds. At the end, Bosnia and Herzegovina have great people, funny and nice people, so what you think, or have you ever been here?
I am originally from there, it is a nice place to go visit and it is really cheap compared to other countries because of the war that happened and now the economy is low. The best thing to do is go sight seeing, you will meet all kinds of interesting people, and I MEAN interesting, I'm from there and i get surprised every now and then. The food is great and healthy, all of it is completely organic, and grown from surrounding farms. If you ever happen to go to Europe, go visit Bosnia, it's unique and fun. And don't forget the neighboring country of Croatia, wow. Hope this helps!
Q:I have a BA in Economics, however, my work experience has been in blue-collar jobs like construction labor, driving a truck, and operating heavy duty excavators and loaders for a construction company. I got my college degree because I didn't want to do construction for the rest of my life. However, the situation is that I cannot find a job because every job I try to apply for requires quot;relevantquot; work experience such as in customer service, sales and office work. I have never done those kinds of jobs. The reason I got my college degree was because I thought I had an advantage, yet I see that there is not much advantage in this job market for recent grads with no experience. What can I do in my situation to find a job? I don't want to continue working in construction. Please give me some advice. thank you.
my friend i think that most companies would likely hire experienced people if you don't like construction work that find another job beside economics and maybe that would be more challenging and you would really like it.my advice to you is go for Hotel Management or Tourism
Q:I'm going to Australia (NSW) in a couple of months on a working holiday visa and need to know exactly what i need before getting a job on a site as a excavator driver i.e cards tickets ect. This is my job here so I have experience
By and large you won't get a job as an excavator driver whilst on a working holiday visa. These visa's are designed for young people to visit our country and finance themselves whilst here by lightweight temporary employment. It is not a career move. Employers recognise this fact and are not, entirely realistically, interested in employing WHV people in employment such as this - particularly in today's economic climate. Re-evaluate your motives for coming here on a WHV before continuing.
Q:What magazines are dedicated to Heavy Equipments like Hydraulic Excavators and Wheel Loaders?
I have several at work. I will P.M. you with the names and addresses tomorrow when I get home at or near 4:00 eastern time.
Q:Background Story: While visiting the museum with my friend, there was a 'what is it?' contest where you had to guess what the tool was. Later in the museum, we saw the exact same tool in the medical area (with all of the old scalpels and aged bottles of medicine). They may have put it in that section just because it looked like a surgical tool, meaning that there is a possibility that it could have been used for something else.
I believe second one is a circular saw used to cut the skull bone. It had teeth around the outside and would be connected to a power source to spin fast.
Q:it's currently -30 degrees out, brother in-laws who owns the machine is out of town and cannot find the plug to prewarm the engine,
On the 312c it has a 3064T cat engine that doesn't use a block heater. It uses a circulation heater which is usually installed either on a heater hose, or on the lower radiator hose. Check the hoses to see if there is a cylinder or a box with a plug on it. If it doesn't have one, they are available at most equipment or automotive stores. You would have to know the inside diameter of the hose when you go to purchase a lower rad hose model. If it's going in a heater hose, they are a standard 5/8. Hope this helps you. Keep warm! Rob
Q:I made a habitat using this type of clay made for reptiles. How long does it take to dry?

Q:i was listening in on 2 men one in an italian suit and the other in kind of an excavators uniform and they were both arguing about something called the nine unknown could someone fill me in?
According to occult lore, the Nine Unknown Men are a two millennia-old secret society founded by the Indian Emperor Asoka c. 270 BCE. According to the legend, upon his conversion to Buddhism after a massacre during one of his wars, the Emperor founded the society of the Nine to preserve and develop knowledge that would be dangerous to humanity if it fell into the wrong hands. Some versions of the story include an additional motivation for the Emperor to conceal scientific knowledge: remnants of the Rama Empire, an Indian version of Atlantis, which according to Hindu scripture was destroyed by advanced weaponry 15000 years ago. Theories have also begun to surface claiming that Rama and Atlantis might have had war using nuclear technology, and destroyed each other.
Q:Having a problem to find the caterpillar 3066 to my 320 Lexcavator so maybe there is a different engine to fit with the 717674 ARRG number.
Are you sure it's not 3306?
