Wiring
To ensure proper system operation to maintain your warranty, observe the correct cable connection polarity(Figures 1&2) when connecting the modules to a battery or to other modules. If not connected correctly, the bypass diode could be destroyed.
PV modules can be wired in series to increase voltage. Connect wires from the positive terminal of one module to the negative of the next module. Figure shows modules connected in series .

- Q:i just took a trip to florida, they are cutting down anything that doesnt float and putting up buildings. Most of these cost a bundle, bill gates may pay cash for them, but most people will have many payments. Since pools, satellite dishes, and docks if near the water seem to be standard issue, why not a couple solar panels and water heater. It is florida after all, and if you are allready paying a half million or so for a house, what is another 0k gonna mean to you. Why dont they make it mandatory to include these on all new housing and condos and businesses. With that many the price would come down quickly and pay for itself long before the house is payed off and/or florida is flooded due to global warming.
- Solar Panels in housing developments is not being used because it would add $25,000 to $40,000 to the price of the home. Most people in the USA don't understand that after a few years the solar electric panels will start paying them back. It is not just the upfront cost. People would rather spend that 40K on somthing smart like a new corvette. Which has no pay back at all then something stupid like solar electric and helping themselfs or the rest of the world. So if the builders were to add them to the house people would just buy from another builder and the one adding the solar roof tops would just go broke. The State would have to find a way to credit the buyer or buider enough to make it worth it. Is it not more fun to spend millions on finding out where Anna Smith is going to be barried? Or maybe billions on top of billions on War? If we had spend the money on solar that we have spend on Iraq alone we could have put solar on every roof top in the whole USA and had few billion left over. Think about it.. 200 million people in the USA with three to a home would be 66 million homes. It would have only cost 528 billions dollars to put a kWh Solar Electric system on each house in America. But that would be stupid. War makes more money. We don't want Exxon to go broke do we?

- Actually they do make these... u have one but the voltage is no guaranteed as depends on the radiation from sunlight. I have a 8v 60Watt folding solar panel... works great and does charge laptop but not consistent. It works better when you also have an external battery with you as well. Battery will charge laptop Solar panel will charge battery Also most important... put laptop screen on super dim / power savior mode or else laptop will eat up energy. I have a desktop replacement hp laptop and able to keep it charged at 9volts just under 2amps... (38 watts)... on power save mode of course ALLPOWERS 8v 60Watt folding solar panel charger Also.... Poweradd Pilot 30000mAh multi-voltage (9v -20v) portable chargers. Remember solar panels are nothing without batteries... not just for storing at night but also storing all the energy you can get. - You can do this by isolating the jacuzzi, you will need a solar array adequate for the power draw of the jacuzzi, a charge controller, battery bank, off-grid inverter and switch gear. This is the expensive way to go--especially if you are planning to heat the water with the solar. A better option would be to heat the jacuzzi with solar thermal panels. It is plumbing instead of electrical, but the cost would be much less. If you still want to do PV (electric) solar, think about putting a non-isolated grid-tie solar array on your home. They are much cheaper, and if you think about it, it really does not matter if you use the solar electricity to run a light, a fridge, a TV, or a Jacuzzi, that amount of power is subtracted from your overall house power bill. Just size the array for the power output of the jacuzzi, and let the power meter do the rest. Your overall result will be the same and the system will be half the price, or less.
