Q:I have a minivan with a flat 5 pin wiring connecter at back. We bought an old utility trailer with no wiring. It has the two rear lights, one on each side with 2 wires sticking out of each. We got the flat 5 pin trailer connector to connect to the van and bought a long piece of cable which has the white, brown, green and yellow wires in it. Where do I connect what? I have the wire that connects to the van with the four colours and 2 wires coming out of each light for the trailer. Thanks!
White = ground Brown = running lights Green = right turn Yellow = left turn The brown wire is common to each light.White to trailer frame. The right and left will go to the other wire at each light.Make sure the green and yellow or connected to the wire that makes the brightest light.
Q:I just installed a backup camera however I am having trouble wiring it. I've read that I need to tap into the reverse wire, however I went through many wires and couldn't figure out which one is it. My cameras wire is designed to be wired in the trunk, so the wire under the hood or dash is not a possibility. 2003 G35 Sedan
For the objective of? turning it on? NO! you should use that wire, faucet it for sure, with a speedy connect, for a 12V source wire, use a relay, and that 12V source wire, and that is advisable to do 2 body grounds, one for that 12V source wire for the relay to kick on/off, and one from the digital camera that you're powering from a right away link from the battery (use a 10A inline fuse)
Q:Question about the 3.5mm cable, I cut it open and there are 4 individual wires inside of it. I've only ever seen 2 wires and a loose one. Which ones are right/left and would the other 2 both be ground? The colors are red/green/white/black. I'm assuming the red/white are right left like normal? But I'm not too sure.
do you mean an audio cable?
Q:need to know how to properly wire this amp in a truck
wow I have never heard of this amp until u mentioned it. the ratings seem good. ur best option would be to call sonic electronics have them send you a manual on how to wire this amp. they sell this amp. I mean u ask how to properly wire it. wire it to get power ? or to the woofers ? red wire + goes to your battery. black wire - goes to your ground (not your battery) to the frame of ur vehicle. then u need a blue wire, your remote this wire goes to ur stereo's remote wire it should be the same color or it will be marked. but if u do not know how to hook up an amplifier u should go to a professional shop due to the fact if u improperly hook ur amp up YOU CAN START A FIRE IN YOUR CAR.
Q:I have a 1996 Cadillac Deville Sedan, and I bought a female wiring harness for it off of the internet. The Factory Wires doesn't include pink, but yet all the wiring codes say pink...the adapter I bought matches up to the Head Unit I want to replace the factory with, but when i put the battery back on and everything it doesn't turn on, I need to know how to wire this thing correctly, and if I bought the wrong adapter or not...Thank You.
Here is the original factory stereo dash wiring harness info this way you can use the new aftermarket wiring info and simply connect up the right ones to each other or at least figure out your problem. Q:Should I just buy normal speaker wire for wiring my subs together inside my box?? With positive and negative and then pull the wire apart and use only 1 of the wires? Also is 10 gauge good for this if my subs are 600 RMS a piece and my amp is 1180 birthsheet RMS...2 Kicker L5 12sAlpine PDX-1.1000
well speaker wire inside the box i never would wire them together but 10 gauge sounds ok but just buy an amp wireing kit and it will give you proper wires just to be safe make sure all your wires can handel the power other wise it will burn the wires up yes you should pull the apart cause it wont sound right i usaly do is like the wires i buy have a white stripe on them i use that 1 as a ground wire so i know whic 1 is what
Q:I have a 98 oldsmobile intrigue. Stock radio was taken out a while ago so all there is are wire hanging out. I don't know what I need, a wire connector or wire harness. Honestly don't know what's what. Also need to know how to use the wire connector/harness.and what goes to what
First off, if there are bare wires, meaning they are all loose and you see copper then you are in for a rough time. If they are still wired into the stock harness and connectors it will be much easier. If you have a stock harness and connectors, you should buy a vehicle harness adaptor that is correct for your car. Just about any stereo shop should be able to get them. This will plug into your stock harness and give you labeled wires to connect to the harness you get with the new head unit. Just splice them together and you should be good. Very straight forward. Just follow the instructions. If you have bare wire then you will need to get a chilton's or haynes manual for your car. There should be a wiring diagram that lists the color codes for the what wire is what. Use that to splice into the deck harness. This is the harder route because you don't have a lot of slack on the stock wires and its a headache to keep it all strait in your mind.
Q:how we can predict the maximum load that stainless steel cable wire can achieved?
Hi all… The wire made of stainless steel is mostly used in the balustrade work, fixing tasks, decks and handrails. Due to the heavy duty usage the wire needs to be very strong and long so that there is no scope of breakage. The wire are made up of 316 marine grade the quality of wire is very tough and should be strong enough to cope up with harsh conditions prevalent in Australia.
Q:i am re-wiring light switches in my home. Pulled off the old switches and there are four wires. 1 red, 1 black, 1 white and 1 bare. My light switch has three spots, 2 brass screw plates and a ground screw, what of the 4th wire?
problematic factor. check out onto search engines like google. this could help!
Q:I am replacing an outside floodlight, the cable from the house has 4 wires (black, brown, grey and yellow), but the floodlight has the standard 3 live, neutral and earth fitting. How would I wire the new floodlight.. the wiring for the old floodlight is less than a year old on a house rewire. Thanks!
Four wire power cables used to be used for 2 and 3 phase power. You would normally provide floodlight power with the use of 3 wires. How long is the cable length from house to floodlights? I would look to see what your source wire colors are and try to match those. It used to be in the USA that the red wire was used to carry the 120/240 Volts AC (50 ~ 60~ Herz). The Black wire was considered the return or negative line; and if you have a green wire it is used to put an earth ground on all the shielding, metal jackets, etc.
