Q:I tried to have a check made out to my husband cashed today. He is depolyed and I have power of attorney. The bank said they are refusing my power of attorney and he would need to be present to cash the check. I advised them he is deployed and they still denied it. I need to cash this since we have no money at the present and it seems to me that power of attorney is the same as having him there. Any ideas on what to do or who to call. Im waiting for a JAG to call me back per the FRG.: You need to have a Special POA saying you can cash checks in his name, went through this when I was in BCT with my husband cashing my checks, and I had the same issues when he was Deployed, it must be a Special POA You should also ask for there policy in writing when it comes to your husband being deployed and you have a POA. I understand how you feel been there done that, remain calm, worse case sign it for your husband and deposit into your account. Just like income tax time you must have a special POA to file taxes and it must read to file return and cash any refunds owed to you. Q:A company based out of Dallas,TX has somehow acquired my account number and has charged me for 26.90.That 26.90 has put me into a deficit of 35 additional dollars. I live in North Carolina and have never heard of this company, never authorized any charges for anything, and never been contacted by them.I have attempted several times to call them and I receive no reply.I left several voice mails and for a company that says on the phone that it's hours are 9-5CST, I find it quite disturbing that no one in their customer service department is available every time I call. What can I do? Also, my bank has already taken 277.68 from my monthly disability check of 541.00. So I have to get by on 260 this month? How's it legal for them to garnish my wages like that? Shouldn't only the IRS have that power? Would a suit stand in court against my bank because of this garnishing of my wages?: Contact the bank and inform them of the disputed account if it an ACH or Debit transaction and they can investigate and issue a temporary credit and new account number if applicable. As far as taken 277, it depends what for. If it is to pay legitimate fees, yes they can collect the funds. As far as suing, you probably could, but all you would be eligible for is the 26.90, the 35.00 fees that were caused by it and any filing costs for the suit. Not worth it probably. If its truly illegitimate activity the bank will pursue fraud charges

Q:I understand that all fluorescent light fittings with ballasts have capacitors fitted to correct the power factor. But do many factories/machine shops etc have capacitor banks? Are motors (large or small) supplied with capacitors by the manufacturer for power factor correction? (I think not?): I work at a factory as electronic specialist and from what iv seen no. Q:Hello-I am in the process of buying a house that was repossesed from the bank The house has no power to it and the water system is currently winterized That means I can't tell if the furnace is OK, I can't tell if the well has water in it or if the water system is OK, I can't tell if the septic system is OK either WHat can I do to make sure I an not buying more headaches than I know what to do with? Q:I have a camcorder which can be operated without battery attached but AC/DC power adapter with DC output 5.2 V - 1A.From the internet I understand that PowerBank provide 5 V - 1A output.Assuming that I do a modification of the USB cable jack of the power-bank so it can fit to the camcorder hole where the AC/DC power-adapter jack goes in :with this power-bank as a power supply (not for battery recharging) :will my camcorder runs normally just like when it runs from AC/DC power adapter ?If the camcorder runs - is it safe for my camcorder running from the power-bank as it's power supply ?I also wonder, why my battery camcorder is DC 3.5V - 860 mAh not 5V - 1A just like the DC output from camcorder adapter ?Any kind of respond will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.: If the camera's own adapter supplies 5.2V it should run equally well on 5V. The camera has internal circuitry to drop that voltage to the 3.5V level coming from the internal battery. Your second question is partly answered by that as well. As for the difference between 860 and 1, they are different units. 860 mAh is a capacity for work - it will deliver 860 mA for 1 hour or 430 mA for 2hours. My guess is that the camcorder will draw something like 900 mA and run for slightly less than 1 hour. The capability of the adapter to supply 1000mA does not mean that the camera takes that amount. It is good engineering practice to provide a safety factor: the power supply will not run so hot if it is working below its maximum.
