General Introduction

u This cutter suction dredger is designed to operate in sheltered inshore waters and under tropical climate conditions. Build under enterprise standard with reference to ZC standard.

u She is of all welded steel construction ,bottom plate 8 mm thickness and shell plating 6 mm thickness, frame distance 500 mm, with 2 fixed spuds on the aft ,ladder support A frame in the front and 3 hydraulic operated winches ,2 double bollards(fwd and aft) and 1 single bollard in the center on each side.

u The whole dredger is dismountable in road transportable sections.

u The engines and dredge pump are located in the center pontoon, the 2 side pontoons serve as fuel bunkers, ballast tanks and store.

u Engine room and pump section are accessible by watertight hatches

u Cutter shaft runs on roller type bearings in an enclosed shaft housing flooded with lubrication oil a lock oil tank to ensure a positive pressure inside the bearing housing is located on top of the wheelhouse.

u The spacious control cabin is ergonomically designed fitted on a raised platform with all around non obstructed view ,2 operators consoles containing engine instrumentation and controls for winches, dredge pump, suction and discharge pressure gauges, navigation light controls, airconditioned and well insulated .

u Below the control cabin is a changing room located with table, chairs and washbasin

u The underwater section of the dredger is protected with a marine coating system and cathodic protection for use in a saltwater environment
