Q:im trying to turn on my sprinklers from the valve manually, but doesn't seem to work, the valve it's an antisiphon rainbird valve with two little knobs, I know that one is the bleeder and the other the pressure control, or something like that, and the solenoid has the on and off arrows on it, but i can't do it anyways, they come on automatically right on time ,it's just the manual thing that i can't do, please help me,i really need it

Q:I have tried to adjust valves of Suzuki Intruder VS400 but they still tapping..so how to adjust them in the right way?
You know what they say. if you cant hear the valves tapping, their doing damage! but it can be too loud. Make sure that your cylinder is at top dead center for the valve your adjusting. Then You need to know what feeler gauge is right but you probably already know. Make sure when you adjust them that they make the feeler gage drag slightly when you pull it out. If you have a twin you need to make sure that each cylinder is top dead center when you adjust the valve for it.
Q:i have a puegeot 306 turbo diesel and apparently removing the EGR valve helps with engine noise and the smokeyness of the car. Is there any downside to removing it?
yep good gas milage
Q:the water coming out of the kitchen faucet has been getting weaker and weaker this week and now it flows a 3 out of 10. The thought it might be time to replace the faucet/faucet washer. I went to turn off the water under the sink.. hot and cold valve but water still comes out of the faucet with enough force aka not a dip but free flowing water. I turned the red handle valve to off as well but same thing. I am totally thrown off. HOt and cold water still comes out of faucet. When I push the faucet handle down, the water does not stop right away as well but slowly stops. No problem water into dish washer. I have replaced numerous faucets but I can not figure how water is still getting to the faucet after turning all 3 valves to shut off position. I still think it might be the faucet but now I am not sure. I am close to calling a plumber but really do not want to do that. thx
Your stop and waste valves on the lines have failed. These valves have a rubber washer that turns down onto a seat to seal off flow. Often the washers deteriorate and fall away. Unfortunately you discover this at the time you need them! Shut off your main water supply and do what the first answer suggested(the debris he spoke of could be your valve washers!). If you have a chance , change the valves to ball valves which have no washers.
Q:My brother is 32 years old.He has an enlarged heart ,a murmur, high blood pressure and heart regurgitation. He may be having the valve replacement surgery.I was wondering if anyone has had these things wrong with them and had the valve surgery and did well afterwards.Any information would be very much appreciated.
No...but heart valve surgery is rather routine for all but the concerned relatives and patient who tend to worry.....people do very well with replacement heart valves.....
Q:Why would oil be leaking from a blow off valve?i own a 05' gti 1.8t, i have had the blow off valve for about a year now, its a HKS SSQV, but i just revently noticed that when it blows off, there is a spray of oil that comes out..... why would it be leaking oil through the blow off valve? i know VW dont really go well with blow off valves, but it hasnt given me any problems until recently....
I'm having a very similar problem, i'm thinking the turbo might be damaged and leaking oil.
Q:I was told my 1995 chevy needs an idle air control valve. I know my idle is getting rougher so I may need this. What is the function of this valve and what would happen if I don't get it? Will a new valve smooth my idle? Anyone know if this valve is hard to install or not?
The IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) controls the amount of air getting into the throttle body/intake to coincide with the correct amount of fuel to get the perfect fuel/air mixture for proper combustion. Too much or too little air will affect the performance of the engine at idle. If you have the 5.7 350 v8 the idle air control valve is really an easy fix. it sits right in the throttle body and is easy to get to. Autozone in Houston, TX has them for about $22... If you don't get it your idle will be poor and the engine could possible stall at idle.
Q:my inflatable kayak has a self bailing drain valve. it says to close the valve in lakes and streams to stay completely dry and open it in oceans or mild whitewaters.whats the point of this valve? i WANT water to come in??

Q:my EGR valve has gone on my Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DI LS, 1998, 5 DOOR HATCHBACK, so i am getting a new one next week, what i want to know is, is it an easy job to replace them if so how do i do it? or is it better just to let a garage do the job?
Easy. Just google it and it will tell you how. It will take a minute to change.
Q:How would your car run if u did not have one on it? Do u really need to have a pcv valve? I have a 1994 Ford Econoline
Yes the car would run but run very bad.. The pcv valve stands for positive crankcase ventilation If bad or missing you will have a very, very bad vacuum leak.. simple to replace change it cost is chep enough for a chance....
