Q:i have this valve and its really stiff i was wondering if there's a way to loosen it up a little its a KBI Ball Valve baught at Ace hardware and it looks like their might be a way of adjusting it i just dont know how
tap it lightly with a hammer while turning it
Q:hello!I'm designing a floor cleaner and for a water release system i was thinking of using a ball valve, connected to an actuator, however i'm not fully sure what to look for, and although I can buy the actuator and ball valve together, I'm not sure how to connect it to a motor and battery? If anyone can help my with this I'd really appreciate it!!Thank You!!
An actuator for a ball valve can use either compressed air or an eectric power source to drive a motor. Air actuated valves can operate very quickly and are a little cheaper but they require a compressed air source and pneumatic controls to operate. An electric operator uses a geared motor to operate the valve and are slower. Electric operators are more expensive but only require power and some switches to operate. See link for hook up details.... The motor is built into the actuator so its just a matter of mating the actuator up with the valve. It would be best to buy a complete unit with the actuator and valve already attached. These will cost at a minimum several hundred dollars. Using a ball valve may not operate fast enough nor give you fine control if your considering using it to control the cleaning fluid applied to the floor. Instead consider using a solenoid valve instead. These are smaller valves and operate very quickly by just adding or removing power. Not to mention these are much cheaper $25 to $100 on average.
Q:where are the proportion valves located on a 1991 buick skylark?
Brake light staying on in the dash? The proportional valve, or transfer valve is a part of your brake system. Look directly under the brake master cylinder, there is a long square block of steel or brass, about 4 to 5 inches long. It will have two brake lines from the master cylinder going in, and two more coming out, going to the four wheels. In the middle, or one end, will be a wire attached. If your brake light on the dash is on, it means the valve shifted off center, because one wheel cylinder/caliper may have failed, or one of the two reservoirs in the master cylinder is out of fluid. Once you find out what the real problem is with te brakes, the system must be bled in a certain way to re-center the valve, so the light goes out.
Q:Hi.. I was looking forward to install an electric supercharger for my 2 litre non turbo engine. This unit is driven by an electric motor instead of being mechanically driven. My question is if I can install a blow off valve in between the supercharger and the inlet manifold? Will it work?
Electronic Blow Off Valve
Q:In aircraft reciprocating engine, if valve spring surge happen?1. Why happen?2. Affect to engine?3. Result?4. Feeling?
Its in a car engine but the fault is near the same. The good news is that in aircraft there are mostly multi-spring valve springs to help prevent the resonance problem that can happen with a single spring. (If one goes resonant, the other one doesn't.) I think what that means is that if you have valve spring surges in an aircraft engine, you probably have a broken spring or weak on the assembly. (just a guess but if they don't go resonant at the same time then how would you get the surge?) The affect, not good. Result - rough at a certain RPM or range of RPM even temp. related Feeling - rough
Q:automotive cylinder heads and valve
Valve rotators are just that, they cause the valves to rotate during operation preventing wear in only one spot there by extending the life of the valve and the valve seats.
Q:Ok so i am 16 years old, and i have Aortic stenosis, bicuspid aortic valve, aortic regurgitation and an Enlarged aorta. I am soon going to be getting an aortic valve replacement. I am just wondering what happens before and after the surgery and how long i will be in the hospital, how long in the ICU, what kind of tubes/machines will i need? any information will help. thanks :)
Mechanical valve will last for ever. But the red blood cells will be damaged and clot will be formed in the implanted mechanical valve. In order to prevent the formation of blood clot, the patient has to take warfarin (a blood thinner) for the rest of his/her life. If pig valve is used, there is no necessity to take the medicine (warfarin) for the rest of his/her life. But the tissue valve will function only for 15 years. Since you are too young, you have to opt for mechanical valve and to take the medicine for the rest of your life. Valve replacement is indicated for virtually all who can tolerate surgery. In younger patients, the patient's own pulmonic valve can be used, providing good durability; a bioprosthesis is then used to replace the pulmonic valve (Ross procedure). Most often, the aortic valve is replaced with a mechanical or bioprosthetic valve. You will stay in an intensive care unit for the first 2 or 3 days following the operation. Your heart functions will be monitored constantly. The average hospital stay is 1 - 2 weeks. Complete recovery will take a few weeks to several months, depending on your health before surgery.
Q:I bought a plastic ball valve from Lowe's just a couple days ago and it is stuck, I haven't installed it in anything but it wont budge without a pair of channel locks. I tried wd-40 but still nothing, should I return it or keep working with it? and if I keep working what should I try?
=== take it back and get another valve .... if it doesn't work freely in your hand then the valve will be a problem if you install it ---- working with pvc you should use the purple glue that is waterproof and it is a good seal and no leaks when you have
Q:my dad is going to go under heart valve replacement what are the chances of him surviving he is 58 years old and has copd
It depends a lot on which valve and why it's being replaced, but unless the COPD is very bad, the average chance that a 58yo man who does not have any other major medical problems will survive single-valve replacement surgery is better than 98% if the surgery is done by an experienced surgeon at a good hospital. The COPD will very likely mean that his post-operative recovery will be prolonged and difficult, but he should do fine.
