Q:I've wanted an industrial/scaffold piercing for ages! My mum is finally looking into letting me have it done. Any advice about it? How can I hide it for school? What's the healing time? :) thank you for any feed back.: Most piercings need 6 months to fully heal. Industrial will take up to a year to do so. You have to keep the jewelry in and do not take it out ( not even once ) for the whole period of 1 year. This means that you can't hide it for school. You can't put a retainer on also, cause only titanium or stainless steel material are proper for an open wound aka a new piercing. This piercing is not easy to heal and can stay irritated for long. It goes through cartilage and you have to be really careful with the aftercare and the piercer's info if you want to keep the piercing and yourself healthy. You have to be careful and not touch it or play with it and twist it or take it out. You clean this piercing with sea salt soaks or non alcohol antibacterial soap 2-3 times a day. You dry it with paper towels. If you can do the above daily and be extra careful go get it done. Gluck

Q:I want to get a scaffolding piercing, but i just wanna know some information.. past experiences etc. So far i have two lobe piercings on both ears and the pain wasn't too bad, but i've never had a piercing on the upper ear. How much will it cost? (I live in the UK) Just some information i guess (: thanks: I have two lobe piercings on both ears, two cartilage piercings and an industrial that i got five months ago. I was expecting my industrial to be very painful but it wasn't that bad (i have a high pain tolerance though) its a bearable pain. Like all other piercings the healing process is the worst part and still when i bump it (like when im doing my hair) it hurts like a B****! lol. And don't play with it alot when you first get it, it causes scar tissue bumps. Use H20cean spray or you can do 1/4 tsp of sea salt and 1 cup of water to help heal it. The healing time is long, 4 months to a year. I paid $65 dollars in the us idk how much that is UK. It was definitely worth it though! Go for it :)

The piercings are now healed enough for me to change the piercing, and I found an industrial bar on ebay which I'd really like to order. Only problem is, it has two choices on the gauge thickness and length, and I don't know which mine is.The gauge sizes available are 1.2mm (16g) or 1.6mm (14g) , and the length options are 32mm, 35mm, 38mm.Does anyone know which would be the best to get? Q:Why is it necessary to keep records of all inspection carried out on scaffolds as stated in Regulation 39?: some times ppl die because of neglect and lack of mentainance so some have take responsobility for this

Q:i got my scaffold piercing 4 days ago and it still hurtsit usually doesn't hurt when nothing touches it, but then with the lightest touch of a finger or anything else, it hurts badly.i just cleaned it with h2Ocean and a q-tip and now it hurts really bad. :|should it not be hurting by now? or is this normal.? if its normal.. how long until it heals/stops hurting like a *****. hah: the industrial take over a year to FULLY heal. and it will be for a while.
