Q:A piece of aluminum foil 0.550 mm thick and 1.00 cm square is allowed to react with bromine to form aluminum bromide?a) How many mole of aluminum were used? ( The density of aluminum is 2.699 g/cm3.)I keep getting the same answer which I know is wrong. I used a formula to get the volume and then the mass to get the moles, but maybe this is wrong. Could someone explain the process. I got 4.32 x 10-1 mol Al, but the answer is 5.50 x 10-3 mol Al.
volume= 0.0550 cm x 1.00 cm^2= 0.0550 cm^3 gms Al= 2.699 g/cc x [vol] 0.0550 cc = 0.148 g moles Al = [grams]/[mole wt] mol wt=26.98 so 2.699[g/cc] x 0.0550[cc] / 26.98 =0.00550 or 5.50x 10^-3 to 3 sig fig units cancel and gram-moles is final unit.
Q:metals an aluminum can is made of, cast aluminum, 6160 aluminum, sheet aluminum
the aluminum is alloyed with various metals to change the characteristics of the aluminum the link below shows a table showing the various chemical/metals added to aluminum to make different alloys
Q:What advantages does 0.1*100cm aluminum coil have? Is it suitable for the roof tiling? How is the anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion performance?
It is seldom used as roof tiling because its performance is not as good as color steel panel and its cost is not cheaper than others.
Q:How do aluminum coils contribute to energy-efficient lighting?
The energy efficiency of lighting systems is greatly enhanced by aluminum coils. The exceptional thermal conductivity of aluminum coils is the main advantage when used in lighting applications. Due to its high thermal conductivity, aluminum can effectively transfer heat away from the light source and disperse it into the surroundings. This property prevents lighting fixtures from overheating and ensures the longevity and efficiency of the entire system. Furthermore, aluminum coils are lightweight and have a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them perfect for creating compact and durable lighting fixtures. By utilizing aluminum coils, manufacturers can design and produce lighting products that are lighter and more efficient, thereby reducing overall energy consumption. Additionally, aluminum coils have a high reflectivity, allowing them to efficiently distribute and reflect light. This characteristic results in better light output and ensures that a larger portion of the emitted light is effectively utilized, thereby reducing energy waste. Moreover, aluminum is a highly recyclable material that can be reused and repurposed multiple times without losing its qualities. This recyclability contributes to the overall sustainability of energy-efficient lighting systems, reducing the environmental impact associated with their production and disposal. To sum up, aluminum coils contribute to energy-efficient lighting by effectively dissipating heat, reducing energy consumption through lightweight designs, optimizing light distribution, and promoting sustainability through recyclability.
Q:Can aluminum coils be used in the production of aluminum gutters?
Yes, aluminum coils can be used in the production of aluminum gutters. Aluminum coils are commonly used in the manufacturing process of aluminum gutters. These coils are made from aluminum alloy, which is a lightweight and durable material. The coils are shaped and formed into the desired gutter profile using specialized machinery. The use of aluminum coils allows for efficient and precise production of gutters, ensuring a high-quality end product. Additionally, aluminum is corrosion-resistant, making it an ideal material for gutters, as it can withstand exposure to weather elements such as rain and snow. Overall, aluminum coils are a suitable choice for the production of aluminum gutters due to their strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.
Q:Can aluminum coils be used in packaging industries?
Indeed, the packaging industry can utilize aluminum coils. Aluminum emerges as a favored option for packaging materials owing to its abundant advantageous properties. It possesses a lightweight nature, durability, resistance to corrosion, and exceptional thermal conductivity. Such attributes render aluminum coils appropriate for a variety of packaging applications encompassing food and beverage packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, and cosmetic packaging. Moreover, aluminum stands out as highly recyclable, thereby constituting an environmentally conscious choice for the packaging industry. All in all, aluminum coils deliver remarkable performance and versatility, rendering them a fitting choice for packaging industries.
Q:if the resistivity of aluminium is 2.7×10-8 Ωm
Let ρ be the resistivity of the aluminum cable, A the cross sectional area of the cable and l the cable's length. The resistance R of the aluminum cable is now given by: R = ρ·l / A = 2.7·10^-8·(10·10^3) / (π·r?) = 2.7·10^-8·(10·10^3) / (π·(1·10^-3)?) = 85.9 Ω I guess the tricky part is remembering: R = ρ·l / A but when you realize how intuitive this equation is you don't have to memorize it. The resistance R is proportional to the resistivity ρ, so we must have the following in our equation: R = ρ·k , where k is some value governed by the dimensions of the cable! It is logical that the resistance is also proportional to the wires length l. This is logical when you realize that the longer the wire the more obstacles the electrons will have to pass by! Now we have that: R = ρ·l·c , where c is another value governed now by the cross sectional area (only dimensional property left). If we think of the wire as a highway with cars instead of electrons we realize that there is less resistance (higher speed) when the highway has many lanes and is very broad. From this we realize that the greater the cross sectional area the smaller the resistance. R must therefore be inversely proportional to A. We now have: R = ρ·l / A I hope there are no mistakes here :P
Q:is there any kind of solder or technique that can solder copper to aluminium? or is it just not possible!?
piece okorder /... well actually near enough impossible but there are lots of interesting ways to fail on YouTube
Q:hello, i'm doing a school project on aluminium and i'm a little stumped. what elements bond well with aluminium and why? thanks alot!
Fluorine can bond with aluminum. Aluminum has three extra electrons and will easily let the Fluorine atoms use them. Because Aluminum has three, that means three Fluorines can bond. The result is AlF?, also known as Aluminum trifluoride.
Q:Can aluminum coils be used in the production of aluminum composite doors?
Yes, aluminum coils can be used in the production of aluminum composite doors. Aluminum coils are often used as the primary material for manufacturing aluminum composite doors due to their durability, lightweight nature, and corrosion resistance. These coils are typically processed and shaped into different components of the door, such as panels, frames, and profiles, to create a strong and aesthetically appealing final product.
