Remark:These are common sizes which the company is making, and unusaal sizes with special requirement can be tailor-made against order. |
the inside surface area increases 70~100% than that of the same specification of plain copper tube, the heat transfer coefficient is about 1.8~2.0 times of that of same specification of plain tube.
- Q:Aluminum tube copper 1216 what does it mean?
- 12161418 aluminum plastic tubes are: 1216 for 4 in charge, in the outer diameter: 12. Internal diameter: 161418 to 5, in outer diameter: 14. Internal diameter: 181620 to 6, in outer diameter: 16. Inside diameter: 20, I am aluminum plastic pipe factory, so I know better.
- Q:I have just bought a small 12cm bunyan fig bonsai that i plan on giving to a friend on their birthday. It came in your run-of-the-mill plastic pot, and i'm looking to find a slightly more spacious and decorative pot to allow the tree to grow a little bigger and more workable.I am a practicing metal smith, and so i thought it would be a nice gesture to make a pot myself out of copper, to make the gift slightly more personal. I know that it is ok to use copper in the garden, but i've heard that if the roots of a bonsai touch the copper pot they will die. Is this true? And if so, will it cause detrimental effects to the bonsai, or will it just stop any further growth? Is there a more suitable metal that i can use?
- Copper sulfate is used to kill roots in septic systems. Therefore, copper will kill your plant. Best to use ceramic for bonsai.
- Q:A piece of copper metal (specific heat 0.385J/g degree C ) at 86.5degree C is placed in 50.0g of water at 16.4 degree C. The metal and water come to the same temperature of 23.9 degreeC
- Hello ssssss, your question comes under the category of physics, but still its a simple one. Here's how to solve it: We know that, In thermal equilibrium, Heat lost by a hot body equals heat gained by a cold body. Here, the hot body is the piece of copper, since is temperature is higher as compared to water. The common temperature 't' attained by both is 23.9 degrees C. So, Let m(copper) be the mass of copper. So we have the following parameters: t = 23.9 degrees C m(copper) = ? c(copper) = .385 J/g degrees C t(copper) = 86.5 degrees C m(water) = 50g c(water) = 4.2 J/g degrees C t(water) = 16.4 degrees C So, heat lost by hot copper metal = heat gained by cold water. m(copper) x c(copper) x ( t(copper) - t ) = m(water) x c(water) x ( t - t(water) ) m(copper) x 24.101 = 1575 Or, m(copper) = 1575/24.101 m(copper) = 65.34999 g = 65.35 g Wasn't it simple! Hope my steps were clear to you By W@W.
- Q:copper has a high heat depostion rate.....what current is recommended for 1/4 plate? dcep dcen?
- Not sure what you mean high heat depostion rate?? Copper, depending on alloy, has very high thermal conductivity so it does require a high heat input for welding. As fas as specifics, it depends on gage of the stock (1.4 thk plate), it depends on exactly what Cu alloy you are talking about, and it also depends on the type and details of the weld joint. Regardless of the recommended settings, unless your welder is highly experienced with TIG on Cu (in which case you probably would not need to be asking this question), it would be wise to have some scrap parts to practice on before attempting the actual assembly. This is particularly true if your assembly is complex, expensive, or if the performance of the welded joint is particularly critical (like the lives of an airplane full of people depend on the strength of the weld). In this latter case, consult with your local FAA representative.
- Q:I did a lab using post and pre 1982 penniesPre 1982 pennies were made of copperPost 1982 pennies are made of zincI have to answer the following questions:1. How would copper react in concentrated hydrochloric acid? zinc?2. How would the copper penny react when cut, exposing the inner metal? zinc? Include description of copper and zinc.
- 1. How would copper react in concentrated hydrochloric acid? zinc? copper gets its tarnish removed, & gets quite shiny Zinc reacts with the acid producing H2 gas, & the zinc totally disappears into solution 2. How would the copper penny react when cut, exposing the inner metal? zinc? Include description of copper and zinc. the cut allows the acid to contact the zinc, bypassing the rest of the protective copper coating the outer copper cover to the penny gets its tarnish removed, & gets quite shiny Zinc reacts with the acid producing H2 gas, & the zinc totally disappears into solution you will be left with a hollow penny copper coating
- Q:balance and include states of matter. Also,When strontium iodide solution is mixed with a solution of sodium sulfate, aqueous sodium iodide and solid strontium sulfate is formed.Calcium hydroxide and phosphoric acid react to form calcium phosphate and water.Copper and sulfuric acid react to form copper (II) sulfate and water and sulfur dioxide.Hydrogen gas and nitrogen monoxide react to form water and nitrogen gas.Thank you and 5 points.
- When aluminum is added to aqueous copper (II) chloride (cupric chloride) copper metal and aqueous aluminum chloride are formed 2Al(s) + 3CuCl2(aq) ---> 2AlCl3(aq) + 3Cu(s) When strontium iodide solution is mixed with a solution of sodium sulfate, aqueous sodium iodide and solid strontium sulfate is formed. SrI2(aq) + Na2SO4(aq) --> SrSO4(s) + 2NaCl(aq) Calcium hydroxide and phosphoric acid react to form calcium phosphate and water. 3Ca(OH)2 + 2H3PO4 ---> Ca3(PO4)2(s) + 3H2O(l) Copper and sulfuric acid react to form copper (II) sulfate and water and sulfur dioxide. Cu(s) + 2H2SO4(conc) ---> CuSO4(s) + 2H2O(l) + SO2(g) If you have learnt anything from the above answers, you'll be able to do the last one yourself .. if not I've been wasting my time. Try it and see!
- Q:My fish had ich apx 3ish weeks ago and we treated him with copper safe. Had since done a water change and added half a dose more 2 weeks ago. Would it be safe to place coral into the tank? ( it is a fresh water tank)
- um, coral goes in saltwater tanks. it wouldnt be safe at all
- Q:can someone here tell me the uses of copper sulfate and the hazards plus the risks thank you :P
- Copper sulfate is a fungicide. It is put on grapes etc. to kill fungus. It is also used (very dilute) to kill parasites on fish in aquariums. It kills algae in swimming pools. It is used in ponds to kill plants. It has several lab uses -- standard tests for sugars, for proteins, for anemia in blood. Risks -- anything that kills algae and fungi at low doses can kill other things at higher doses. When treating fish, low doses are necessary or you kill the fish. If you take enough of it in, it can poison you. It was once used as an emetic but is now thought to be too poisonous to be used for that.
- Q:I know gold isn't worth buying but what about copper? Will that go up in price in years?
- Certain entities, companies and government have been buying and stockpiling copper for years. Its cost is high due to that reason, but certainly if that continues prices will continue to rise as with any commodity. So if you can buy low and sell high, you make the profit. If the world goes to hell quickly then all the copper in the world won't save you....but people have made fortunes from copper. Ever heard of the Copper King? Interesting story.
