Q:So I have a ordinary pc with a 500gb seagate hardrive in...and I have another seagate hardrive I want to put in (also 500gb) but do I need the sata power cable since it is not the main hardrive or can I only insert the Data cable for the harddrive since I didn't get any cables with my hardrive do I need need both cables, the Data and power cables or can only use the data cable ?
You always need a power cable as well. The power cables are part of your computer's power supply unit and are never being shipped with harddrives.
Q:does anyone know a website that has like a chart with pictures of the different power supply connectors and where in the desktop computer they go all I know is the 24 pin goes to the motherboard and the 6 pin goes to my graphics card
Its on your motherboard factory web site. usually there is a 4 or 8 pin for the mobo PCI bridge, sata, pata, power connectors for drives. smaller for floppy, blue wire for PSU fan speed report. just find out what FORM you need, most are ATX.
Q:Can I use a standard 12 volt power cable on an Elmo projector?
Possibly on the BoxiT-200 that takes 12 to 19 volts at 3 amps, positive center. Read the printing on user manual, it gives the requirements. Most other Elmo projectors are plugged into an ac outlet.
Q:What is the power cable accessories used to do?
The shield has two types of semi-conductive shield and metal shield
Q:ok well my xbox wont turn on anymore i was playing it and it was fine when i put the controller on top of it and moved the power cable and all of a sudden the xbox turned off, so if anybody knows what could of gone wrong or have a solution i would greatly appreciate it.
Go to bestbuy and see if they are still giving out those free repairs and if that doesnt help get a ps3 because it never has any problems with its power cables!
Q:i just got a junked up PS2 and i'm taking it apart to see what all is wrong with it and do a thorough cleaning of everything inside and i discovered that the problem is the power eject ribbon cable is tattered. is there anyway i can make a homemade style cable or repair the old one. i know there are like 5 to 10 bucks but im a major cheapa$$ so to say so any tips or tricks???
Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.
Q:im running 4 ga power cable through my 2003 civic and im wondering if anyone hase any good places to run it through?
I have a 2003 Civic EX and simply created a hole in the boot that has some large cable going through it right below the Glove box. I have no leaks I too have 4 ga size wire. Good luck.
Q:Hi, Whether it will causes any problem the power and speaker in a same path? I dont have a separate path for speakers to mount it in wall. I plan to use the existing path which is used for other electrical items. If i use the same path for electrical wire and speaker wire, it will damage the speaker or will make any short circuit in the electrical line?Thank you.
It should be fine as long as you do not tie wrap the speaker wire directly to the power wiring. Speaker wiring is pretty immune to interference except for in extreme cases. Just run it as far from the power as you can.
Q:The cylinder is in the power cable about 2 inches from the connection to the laptop and is about one half inch diameter by one inch long. Does it serve an electronic function or is it just a mechanical assist device?
It's called a choke. It's used to filter out unwanted radio interference.
Q:can i run a ati radeon hd 2900xt with a two 4pin molex power cable?
yes of course
