- ......ok. I'll take a guess at what you're asking. If youre wanting to know how to get longer life out of your teeth, why not just build them up with wear plate, or hard surface them? You never said what this excavator of yours is even. Big difference in what youre going to do with the baby teeth on a small excavator in the 110 and under range, versus the teeth on a 1200. if youre working in ground that will allow, you can take a length of flat cutting edge, say, from a dozer, and weld it across the face of the teeth. This gives a larger wear face, resulting in much longer life.
- Q:I need to dig up about 400 cubic feet of earth from my backyard (we are moving a retaining wall), and doing it with a shovel doesn't sound very attractive. I can't get a Bobcat or an excavator to the backyard because we are on a hill, meaning 1) there are stairs leading to the backyard and 2) the passageway between the house and the fence is too narrow. So it needs to be some lightweight tool. I don't mind working in the backyard, just don't want to do it by hand.If no tools exist and we'll have to hire day laborers to shovel the soil, how much earth can 1 person reasonably shovel in an hour? We'll need this to estimate the cost.Thanks!!

- I don't know what an in ground pool would cost but if you are looking to save money try looking into on-ground pools. They are pools almost like an in ground pool but it has about a foot and a half out of the ground. If you want to make them look better you can put a deck up to the pool and it looks just like an in ground pool. I think that it is just as good as an in ground pool but cheaper. - Q:can someone explain how to use ratcheting binders please. using them to chain down bobcats, mini excavators, small tractors etc. i have only used snap binders but our company replaced them all with ratcheting binders. thanks
- very simple principal. there is a cog in the middle that jams on the teeth. the cog can be flipped to go the other direction. ie. loosen/tighten. the hooked pieces on the end have screws that tighten to shorten the length of the whole thing which pulls the slack and makes your chains tight. not sure if that made any sense at all. kind of hard to descibe without holding one to show. you can get stuff to tight with the rachet binders, the levers are limited to how far you can pull somthing, with the rachet binders if you have somthing with a suspention you can pull it way down as where if you have the lever binders all you can do is go down one time, the rachet binders stay tighter because you can tighten so much more and when you get it down just roll it over till it hits the trailer or machine in the proper direstion and if does move it will tighten it further
