BTW, SIX goldfish?? That's a lot, buddy. I hope you have a very large tank. To truly have healthy goldfish, you must consider their adult size. A fancy goldfish will grow anywhere from 6-8 inches. A common goldfish will grow 16 inches or more. To illustrate, I got nine tiny, tiny goldfish one year ago. Now four of them share a 55 gallon tank and five of them share a 75 gallon tank. If anything, they are crowded. And don't believe the myth that a fish will grow to the size of its tank. - I'd protect it further - Especially if it goes thru sheet metal or outside the passenger compartment. I've run power feed wire thru plastic tubing, when it is under the body, just to be safe.
