- Q:is it ok to use a plastic tubing for my ice maker how about the fittings (plastic)?

- Q:My model rocket's (currently being built) body tube has a slight issue.First, this is how im making it.Taking a plastic tube, I wrap a piece of construction paper around it, and glue it. (not to the tube, but to itself so I can slide out the tube, and have a cylindrical paper mold.) Next, I take a special type of paper with water-activated adhesive on one side, and wrap it around the construction paper.However, now that everythings dry, I find that upon gluing the construction paper, I also glued it to the tube. Now the plastic tube is stuck within.How can I get it out without tearing my outer shell?Im guessing with heat/cold, but Im not sure.
- To save what you have so far, slit the tube you glued up and peel it off,clean the plastic tube. Then re-glue your paper tube with white glue using wax paper over the plastic tube. Then add another layer or two of the water activated paper. You can cut the paper into 3 inch wide strips then spiral it around the tube. It will be much stronger. Make your tube longer then you need because the ends will be rough and you will want to cut them off. Let it dry for a few days so it will stiff-in up. If it is not strong enough add more layers.
- Q:My 99 Ford Escort has been making sloshy water sounds and whistling sounds on the passenger side of the car when I run the A/C. I have also noticed that the floor is damp on the passenger side only. If I look up under and behind the glove compartment there is a black plastic box that is covered with condensation within a few minutes of running the a/c. Based on what I've read, this problem is probably a blocked drain rather than the heater core (I live in Florida and haven't touched my heater in 6 months :P). Can anyone confirm? The noise has also been getting worse, I noticed the damp floor a week or two ago, but the water noises have only kicked up the past 2 days. Will running the a/c without fixing it permanently damage anything? If I can't locate the drain to unblock and have to take it into the mechanic, how much would I be looking at? Thanks!
- You are probably correct about the a/c drain tube. If it were the heater core, there would be a coolant smell and your coolant level would drop and by now the engine would be getting hot. It shouldn't cost that much to have someone open the drain tube, but you should be able to do it yourself. Look in the engine compartment on the firewall at approximately the center of the car just a little toward the passenger side of center. There should be a black rubber or plastic tube protruding and pointing down or down and back. You may need a piece of wire to snake up the tube to loosen whatever is clogging it. Be careful with the wire and don't just shove it all up in there. Just through the tube is far enough
- Q:I bought a roll of lincoln cents they are stuck in the plastic tubes. Any suggestions on how to get them out without damaging the coins?
- The best way to do it is cut a slit at one end of the tube, and tear along that. Try cutting more slits if it proves troublesome.

- Q:Is there an instrument for measuring the leakage of underground plastic pipes?
- If you feel afraid to damage too much wall, you can cut off the original water pipe from the water meter, and then the water pipe from the ceiling down, the original wall of the water pipe do not manage it. This is a new concept, is the water people are such decoration, because they know that the pipeline is not guaranteed Water Leakage, and we will assume the original premise of pipe into the wall way pipeline is never Water Leakage, in fact we can't do that. Plastic pipes are cheap, easy to install, easier to save than to find leaks and repair them.

- Cardboard tubing is available at most shipping retailers (FedEx, Mailboxes Etc., and so forth). Foam pipe insulation and clear tubing (clear plastic hose?) can be found at most home improvement retailers (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.) in the plumbing department.

- Have you tried blowing it out. Wipe the opening on the opposite side of the tube where the cap is with some rubbing alcohol till it's clean and let dry. Then take a deep breath and blow through the tube, sealing the tube by pressing it against your face. This should dislodge the cap enough to where you should be able to shake the cap out.
