- Q:And if anyone could give me percise instructions on wiring subs to 1 or 4 ohm that would be great. I have two dual 4 ohm subs and need to know how to solder wires or crimp wires.
- 1 okorder
- Q:ok so i wired the subs to the amp now, the positive (Red) goes to the battery, the ground (Black) is currently grounded to the metal under my drivers seat. My question is does it matter the color wire is that goes to the stereo? Can i use a red or black? Does it really matter? If not, where exactly would i hook it up behind my aftermarket sony headunit?
- if your talking about your RCA wires that go from your stereo to your amp. the color doesnt matter as long as left and right are hooked up correctly
- Q:what are the differences between wired and wireless microphones? and what are the Pros and Cons of having a wired mic, pros and cons of a wireless?Thanks......
- Wired microphones have a wire to connect it. Wireless ones don't. Pros and cons? Do you want wires?
- Q:im trying to install a cd player i need to know where i can hook up power(red) , constant(yellow), and my amp seems to take alot for remote wire so i need a good source for it too i also have a eq to power but dont know if it will work with the same source as the radio
- my friend you need a tester which is very cheap, every electrician have that, you need it if you into electronics. mainly what you do is that you connect one end with the body or negative and the other with different wires with the car on /battery on and if the light lit up and off when you turn the car off then you got the yellow wire. red should have the constant power.
- Q:On a 1985 Dodge D-250 there are two wires coming off of the starter the thicker off the two goes two the starter the smaller one has been cut up by the battery. I was told the truck was running last week and all they were doing to start it was touching it to the positive post with the other wire but when I do this the starter just clicks. I pulled the starter and had it tested and was told its good and I have power to the cab I.e. lights and all so were does this wire go and what do I need to do to start this thing
- Sounds like it may have a temporarily weak battery. Hook it up to a charger overnight or get a jump off someone. If manual transmission, you could try a push start and just let the alternator charge the battery while you drive around.
- Q:I m wondering if there s a Neutral Wire in this picture (yes I turned off the breaker to get this photo). I want to put in a quot;Smart Light Switchand they require a Neutral Wire. I ll have an electrician do the work, but want to make sure the wire exists first.
- The neutral is the white wire on the receptacle.
- Q:Why is the current limiting circuit used to measure the resistance of wire by voltammetry?
- Sliding rheostat, voltage sharing method and current limiting method can adjust the load current (voltage), but under the same conditions, the adjustment effect is different, the actual application should be based on the appropriate choice of appropriate methods.
- Q:okay my apt building was built in 1975 I am changing my light fixture new from home depot and the ground wire, the black and white wire are basic on the new fixture. I am looking in the case box in my ceiling all I see is a black wire attached to red, and a yellow wire attached to a white wire which then attaches to another two white wires (then gos go's up behind the casing) I am not sure which is the ground here. There is a copper looking wire that is thick, thick it just isnt as malleable as the new ground wire that is on my new light fixture. It seems very difficult to maneuver.. Could this be my ground from the ceiling. It was attached to the mount of the old fixture my a screw.
- All wiring is different but the basics remain the same. Before attempting anything please turn off the power. If I have the good picture in my head, there are extension wires added to the black and white this would be done if the wire run though the wall was too short and needed a little extra to get wired properly to a fixture. If I look at the bad picture in my head you have a jump cable attached which is running to a second outlet or light fixture. If the extra wires go back into the ceiling leading somewhere else then it is probably running to a different fixture and this isn't the best way to run electrical. It could potentially overload your circuit. If it has been working for 40 years without a problem you are probably ok, so long as the fixture you're adding is within the same category as the fixture you're removing. The thick copper wire will be your ground wire and should be attached to the box, and to the outlet itself with screws. Good luck with that fixture.
- Q:A toy of 2.8N is suspended by two wires from a horizontal beam. One wire is 40 degrees to the vertical of the beam. The other is at 60 degrees to the beam. What is the tension in each wire?
- The horizontal tensions in the two wires must be equal. The vertical tensions must add to 2.8N. Let the tension in the wires be t1 and t2. t1 * sin(40) <== horizontal tension in wire 1 t1 * cos(40) <== vertical tension in wire 1 t2 * sin(60) <== vertical tension in wire 2 t2 * cos(60) <== horizontal tension in wire 2 t1^2 = (horizontal tension in wire 1)^2 + (vertical tension in wire 1)^2 t2^2 = (horizontal tension in wire 2)^2 + (vertical tension in wire 2)^2
- Q:the charger has three wires to put a male plug on and they are black white and green and they look like 12 gauge wires
- wire colors are green is ground the black and white wires are you load wires look at you 240 volt plug and determine which terminal is the ground this one is where the green wire goes the black and white wire go to other two terminals this should do it
