- Q:like lets i want to want to connect my speaker wires with other wires can i use elmer glue so that it sticks and will the wires still work?
- There are three methods i would use personally, glue is a terrible choice. 1. Easiest - Strip the two tips of the wire, Twist them like he stated and put electrical tape to keep the current inside and wires together. This works but the wires can slip with the slightest pull sometimes. 2. Medium but still easy - Purchase butt connections (least thats whati callem lol) - Basically its this Red/Yellow/ or blue, cylinder about an inch long and just a little thicker then the wire itself. The exterior is a plasitc like substance and the inside is a Metal tube. Strip both ends, stick them in and use a Wire Crimping tool to crimp both ends and i do the center of the connection. This gives you a secure connection with minial work. 3. More difficult - Soddering. You'll need a soddering gun and electrical tape for this and also is the best connection youll get when hooking to wires together. Strip both ends, Twine them together and then you use the soddering gun to bascially drip metal into the twisted wires connecting them forever, unless you cut them.
- Q:first wire change
- Depends on how many little kinks he's putting in it. Also depends on how fast he works, if your wire needs a lot of work or a little, and if he already has an idea of what he wants to do or if he's just guessing along the way. It shouldn't take longer for him to make the actual kinks than it does the remove and replace the wire. That's a little more labor intensive and can take about 5-10 minutes for each wire. The whole thing, uninterrupted might last 30-45 minutes.
- Q:what wires are my speaker wires going to and coming from the factory amp and how do i hook them up please help i drive a 96' ford exploder

- Q:currently I have 2 12woofers wired to a single amp with 2 gauge wiring. Will it make a noticable difference if I upgrade the wiring to 0 gauge?
- you can try Rockford Fosgate web site for wire calculation. just enter your best guess.
- Q:I understand that in a plug you have the earth wire, live wire and neutral wire. But what is the individual job of these wires?? I know how to wire a plug, i just want to know the individual job of each wire. This is not homework, this is something iam teaching myself.Thanks.
- The typical U.S. power distribution system has two hot wires coming into your electric panel, plus a neutral wire. The neutral wire is grounded to earth ground, as is the protective green earth wire. An outlet, carrying 110 volts from one of the hot wires (black), supplies current for the load and it flows back to the transformer on the pole normally via the neutral (white) wire to the center transformer (grounded) tap. The green protective wire does nothing in normal operation. However, should the appliance have a metal outer skin, and the machine develops a short, energizing the outer skin, it will flow through the green ground wire back to the transformer rather than through you and back to the transformer.
- Q:i need the wire diagram for a kenwood kdcmp4032.... i mainly need to know which wire to hook up the remote wire for an amp.
- it is the blue wire now if there are 2 blue wires the one with the white stripe is the amp remote wire the other is for the power antenna and will only activate when the radio is on as in tuner am/fm not when the cd is playing
- Q:Is there special speaker wire in order to run 250 watts max rms or will the oem speaker wire in the car be sufficient (did not originally have an amp and is most likely at 50 watts max rms). If I need a special wire for that please let me know what it is called and possibly an example link. Thanks!
- most likely the wire pre ran in the car was 16 guage wire which is fairly small id recomend atleast 12G for speakers and 8G for a power wire.
- Q:I have a new light fixture I am trying to install. The electrical box has two sets of black and white wires coming in. Both of the black wires are connected together while the white wires from either set were used to connect the old fixture. How should I wire in the new fixture. The switch for this light has only one set of black and white wires connected to the light switch.
- Identify the wiring so you have the power feed and the switch leg and then put some black tape on the white wire going to the switch. This should be connected to the black power feed and then the white from the power feed is connected to the white of the fixture and the black from the switch leg is connected to the black of the fixture.
- Q:Kind of a confusing question I guess. I want to cut a wire that contains 3 other wires and splice into them then reconnect them. is all I need relatively the same gauge wire or is it potentially different type like some sort of special speaker wire..? Should be one positive one negative and the other some sort of signal for sound. (Microphone to a speaker). All I need is standard copper wire?
- Wires are as different from each other as people with almost as many variations. Wires are designed for specific purposes. For audio, the different color wires are used for phasing of the speakers. You won't get anything out of a speaker by connecting a microphone to it unless there is an amplifier between the two components. Generally, I mean really generally, if you keep the same gauge wires and connect the same wire colors together, you should be okay. But that greatly depends upon what you are really doing with the wires.
- Q:Which television show is better, Oz or the Wire? Why?
- that aitn even a battle its all bout the wire
