the water pump on this car is driven by the timing belt so follow timing belt replacement procedures for this, keeping in mind that you should also replace the belt,idler pulley,tension pulley,and gas-tensioner at the same time.once there the pump is held by 7 bolts and replacement is straightforward[gasket surfaces must be perfectly clean and as this is an interference fit [valve bender] engine the timing belt procedure must critically be adhered too. as for the power steering foamy fluid means one of two things, either you have a leak in the system [pump,hoses,rack. causing the pump to cavatate due to low fluid or someone added a fluid that doesn't belong, requiring a flush of the system [once again if fluid was added there is probabley a leak somewhere] if indeed the pump is found to be bad [very rare] after removing the serpintine belt tensioner the pump can be unbolted and removed. good luck

On some vehicles the waterpump impeller(on the backside of the waterpump) may become detached or rust away. Since you are not being vehicle specific, just taking the belt off and spinning the waterpump pulley may not show you whats wrong. A thermostat that is stuck closed can restrict circulation as well.

Check closely, you may find that the pulleys are not lined up completely. Have you had the power steering pump replace? Very common to have the pulley not pressed on completely, causing the ribbed belt to not ride properly on the pulley, causing squeaks.

Ray hit it on the head so just wanted to add that rubber brake lines are made of a material that will not dissolve or decay with brake fluid, oil water gas and any other road contaminate you will encounter. The water or antifreeze on the timing belt or any belt for that matter will ruin the belt because it acts like a lubricant and cause's the belt to slip and eventually fail. I wanted to add that the lines on the front wheels have rubber hoses on them only the rear normally have steel lines.

A horse and a half won't do much. You would be better off with a hydraulic ram type pump if you can get about a 10 or 15 foot fall before the ram. It will pump about 4 or 5 times the height of the fall, but in small quantities. It will run 24/7 without gasoline, so it will fill a tank over a long period of time. The railroads used them during the steam era when they had huge water towers out on the plains.

What kind of pump (ie sump,submersible,shallow well).If it just hums and the shaft doesn't turn its probably the capacitor($25 at johnson controls) or it could be one leg of your 240v breaker tripped(check voltage at breaker and wiring)

Sounds to me like your impeller is shot. Just because the water pump was replaced, chances are the impeller wasn't.
