Q:when I drive it uphill it looses power but when I drive straight on and downwards it is fine .Can anyone tell me what might be the reason why my truck looses it‘s power going uphill even if I step on the gas pedal the velocity still same and if possible be more specific , thank you I really would appreciate it ?

Check fuel filter if the 6.7 they have many issues with the early models it still should be under warranty. Turn key switch on off 3 times leave on not starting see what the read out is in the speedo area. check on line for the code.

Q:in my 1994 mitsubishi expo when the brake is not on.then after awhile it shuts off.the guy at firestone said the brake fluid was dirty and a little low, but he couldn‘t just change it or add more in , he would have to check for a leak in the system first , and that would cost about $600.but when he dipped his finger in it and I drove away, it shut off.It did this again today and after warmed up , it shut itself off

do not pay any one $600.00 to do any brake work on your car. this light is a check feature in the dash to tell you that the brake system is fine (( if I am wrong about this -- do the following go to the mitsu-dealer and talk to the service writer (those folks will help you understand what the true function of this red light does and if there is some malfunction or you need work on the car the discussion with the service writer is free you can take the car to someone of your choice to have the work done if it is necessary for corrective work ----- just be nice to the people that you talk to and you can learn more about the car and the costs of these repairs ----- the weather can effect many things about your car and WHEN was the last time you got new brake pads and shoes ?? It all fits together and one bad part can mess up some good parts live and learn

The dealer will pull the exact same code as Autozone. So if the code says you have a vacuum leak, then you have a vacuum leak. A minor leak can be caused by a loose gas cap. Check that first. Make sure it fits nice and tight. Make sure the gasket on it is good too. If you want the dealer (or any mechanic) to tell you WHY, then they will charge you for a diagnosis. If you want to find the leak yourself, grab a can of ether (starting fluid) and follow the link. Don't use carb cleaner. It's really not flammable (which is what you need here). Besides, ether is cheaper.

Q:I‘ve had my 2001 Chevy Impala 3.4 for almost 6 years now. I understand its not the most reliable car considering I‘ve had to make multiple mechanical repairs on it. But I‘ve recently stumbled over the newest of issues. While driving down the road, my battery light will come on for a few seconds, and then go away. Sometimes the SECURITY light comes on and won‘t go away until i restart the car. And also, sometimes, my buckle up warning light barks at me, even though i always wear my belt. This all started fairly recently, and I‘m clueless. Any similar experiences out there or some good ideas maybe?

Q:I removed the instrument panel on my car to change the lights. I realized that I needed a part so I drove the car, without the instrument panel, to the store (I used a GPS as a speedometer). When I hooked it all back up the air bag light blinks a few times, then goes solid. I have checked to make sure there were no loose wires or connectors near the steering wheel or instrument panel. Would the light stay on because the instrument panel was missing? How can I fix this? The auto parts stores in the area do not have computer scanners that can read the airbag codes.

you might need the transmission filter changed ! sounds like the pump can,t pick up the fluid and causing it to slip ! don,t force it, just drop the pan and change the fluid and filter ! if that don,t help it any then it could be the pump went out !

More than likely the change oil light wasnt reset. Look in the manual and see about resetting it. Or go to a oil/lube place and im sure they would be more than willing to help you for free.

Q:I have a 2001 Impala, and my ABS light comes on sometimes when driving and stays on until the car is off. Today I took my car to three mechanics, first a place called tuffy and they told me its my front left wheel bearing and its going to cost my $365 to replace. I then went to Midas for a second opinion, and was that I would have to replace parts on my Brakes and they were going to switch them around only costing my $60. I then went to a third auto shop and was told all I need is a new wiring for the ABS this would cost $61.00. All three had different reason for why my ABS light is on. My light comes on when it wants to and have not been on since this morning, so what could cause this problem?I also hear no loud noises when I‘m making a left turn so could the Wheel bearing still be the problem?Should I just take my car to the dealership?
