Q:I usually have this little orange light that I can see under park reverse etc however since the battery light has came on, at night time I can not see this at all now. My lights work and everything else works however I‘m worried because the battery light is staying on. Any help?

Truthfully, a battery light is in fact not indicating a problem with the battery, but it is indicating a problem with the charging system (AKA the alternator). It could be a voltage regulator that is failing or it could be an alternator. Take the alternator to an auto-parts store so they can test it and see if its going bad.

Q:it wont start but i can push start it but when its on all of the dash lights stay on and when i try too unhook the battery it dies also when i try to start it the starter motor just clicks??? could this be the alternator???

most likely,most auto part stores can check the charging system for you,or just the alternator,lights are probably staying on due to low voltage,if alternator checks out good,check for a short between alternator and battery

well 90% of the time that is the first thing to change that and a bottle of fuel treatment. so when was the last time you replace the fuel filter shoul d be done once a year and fuel treatment every few months or so. both cost like 10 bucks and easy

You'll have to take it to a garage and have them pull the fault code from the computer and diagnose the cause from there. It could be something as simple as a loose fuel filler cap or a major fault that will be expensive to repair. If it's operating more or less normally you can safely drive it to a garage to have it checked out, but should have it checked out ASAP.

Q:i have a chev berretta, i pulled into my parking stall, and the check engine light came on. i immediately put the car in park and turned it off. i turned it back on and the light was off, but came on 10 seconds later. I left the car, and came back about 15 mins later and toook the car for a drive and the light never appeared at all!?one thing i did notice though, when you turn the car to the on position., right before the start. all the dashboard lights turn on, but the engine light STAYS on. and doesnt turn off till the car has been started. anyone have any ideas?

More than likely your light came on for a fuel system error. Namely the gas cap may not have been seated all the way causing an air leak. Since the light does not stay on now means that the error has not reoccurred. Check and make sure you cap is tight and turn it the recommended clicks that the cap or tag states. Usually 4-5 clicks. Take your vehicle to Advance Auto and have the trouble code checked. At your request you can have all codes cleared. The dash light will still light when you start the vehicle but will then turn off. This is normal.

Q:and got a 6 months warranty so about a month later, the check light on the car started to show and now the break light is showing car i take it back to the mechanic who did the transmission to fix it because the 6 months is not expired yet??

Take it in for the cel but the the brake light because, obd system (not sure what car you have) have sensors on the tranny too.
