Q:Solar Panel and Wind Power?
Insolation, okorder.com okorder.com/... that are 420x420x25 mm so each unit is about .764 m3. If you used these to cover 500 sq ft then you would need (46.45/.764=) 263 of these panels at a cost of ($09.95 x 263=) about $28,953 plus wiring, plus brackets, plus an inverter, plus batteries, plus a battery management system and any labor or your time. Best of luck with it.
Q:how do buildings circulate energy?
The answer depends upon the type of solar energy captured . Photovoltaic Solar Panels convert the energy into electricity. This electricity is ran throughout the building via wires. Thermal Solar Panels typically capture the energy in the form of heat. The hot water is circulated through the building in water pipes.
Q:Do you know that China is the largest producer of solar panels in the world?
Well, for thirty grand I hope they're of better quality than most of the stuff coming out of there.....Meh, I've got an old Boy Scout manual and some Foxfire books. I'll just make some myself this weekend.
Q:Numbers behind Solar Panels?
For comparison, 36 of these make a normal 2V x 50W panel. Note they are not tabbed. This means you have to find a way to connect them yourself. The tabs are probably spot welded on by the suppliers. A supplier below has kits of these with tabs, as needed to connect them together. These are not suitable for grid connect, because the higher voltage needed makes do it yourself panels a dangerous and litigious thing to have on your roof. Maybe you could buy a smaller pack from the link below to compare tabbed and untabbed and work out what to do. Your power calculation is a bit incorrect because the sun is only present some of the time. The 36 cell module would produce 50W when square on to the full sun. The sun may be out for around 2h a day in some places and times of the year. However it is the equivalent of 5h full sun, because of the changing angle throughout the day. Look this up on the internet for your region. Temperate zones may be a lot less. One pack in your link is 36x3 = 08 cells. Thus 50W per pack x 5h a day gives 750Wh per day and 274KWh/y. In reality it will always be less because of regions, weather, clouds, dust, inefficiencies, aging of cells.
Q:powering an imaginary city! (need solar panels!)?
There are panels made up to about 250 watts. You string them together in series/parallel to get more power. Depending on your average insolation, a 250 watt panel caqn produce anywhere from a kwh/day to two kwh/day (averaged over the year - it's less in the winter and more in the summer and can range from 0 to three kwh/day). Powering a city also requires energy storage for nightime or cloudy days. The cost of this can exceed the cost of the panels by a factor of three. DK
Q:How are solar panels developed and distributed in America?
The first link below is one of the best sites for recent news about solar panels. You should be able to find stories about solar panels under development today. A little bit of the history: Solar panels have been around for about 50 years now. They were first used to power spacecraft. Solar power for domestic use started to develop rapidly in the 970's during the first oil crisis, but as energy prices fell in the 980's solar development slowed. Most of the large solar panel makers were purchased by large oil companies who seemed not to be too interested in solar. In the late 990's as concerns about both Peak Oil and Global Warming grew there was renewed interest in solar power and a number of new companies were started to develop new kinds of solar panels. Many of these new companies have grown larger than the older solar companies still owned by big oil companies. Over the last 7 years or so growth in the solar market has been explosive with a compound growth rate of almost 40% per year. In 2005 the solar industry for the first time started to consume more silicon than all other electronic industries combined resulting in a world wide silicon shortage that is still with use. New silicon refineries are coming on line and the shortage is expected to diminish by 2008 or 2009. Check out the two links below. They will help you a lot.
Q:How to mount solar panel to car.?
In whichever car I'm not using much, I plug in a small solar panel to the cigar lighter socket, and simply place it up on the dashboard. So long as it gets daylight, it's working, it doesn't need full, direct sun. I just slip it between the transmission-tunnel and passenger seat when I get in, and my cars start right on the first turn of the key. It only delivers a very low level of charge, but it's STILL a net-gain, rather than the battery slowly getting a little tired - even the clock in the car, and the armed alarm-system takes SOME current to run, but even the smallest of panels will sort this out for you.
Q:what is the best solar panels to buy?
Instead of paying for electricity, for the past three years I've actually ended up with a cheque from the power company believe it or not! :) I got some extremely cheap solar panels from this guide I read, I'll try and find a link for you.. that's one less thing to worry about during the recession I suppose! Haha The guide I used was here: tiny.cc/solar789 my mum was the one who said I should take a look at it, since she's been using the techniques for donkey's years.
Q:Solar panels for car fans?
You may not like it, but the answer's still the same. A car fan will draw anything from a few to several hundred watts, depending on which fan you're talking about (A/C, ventilation, cooling). A solar array will take up roughly one square meter to generate 00 Watts with the sun shining straight down onto it, so you'll need to cover (more or less) the entire roof (or hood) with solar cells in order to power that fan (minimum). If you still want to go ahead: Solar panels, Fuse, cables. Preferrably one cut-out diode per panel (in addition to the hopefully present internal diodes in the panels) in order to prevent one panle dumping its load into the next instead of into the fan. Much better option: get a low power fan (e.g a slow running computer fan) and connect it to that panel of yours. These fans make do with about 0 Watts (at a much lower air throughput), so you'll actually have a chance of running it from the solar panel without coverig your car in panels.
Q:Cars with Solar Panels?
it's possible, but the oil company don't want you to, besides solar-powered cars need to be quite big to have those panels mounted on to provide the needed power, thus it'll take up alot of space on the road. they can't be as powerful as gas-powered cars in terms of speed hauling power. maybe they should make 2-seaters for city users, that'll cut down on the pollution ease up the gas prices. of course, they can make a hybrid car that uses an alternative power, like gas/solar or dry cell/solar to solve the problem... parking-meters with a power-plugs for you to recharge while you park.
