Q:What color of the tablecloth match well with blue carpet?
Grass green or bright yellow are suggested, which is very lively. if you like gorgeous color, you can pick light green or light yellow stripes
Q:What's good about the carpet?
In many families today, especially those villas, penthouse floor, big house, will use the carpet, carpet is beautiful, but also to protect the floor and the like is loved by many people, if the home use carpet, also can make the whole Home Furnishing loop mirror less, a lot of carpet can let Home Furnishing become more luxurious.
Q:my hamster tore up the carpet?!!!?
put it back into the habitrail! now go to the carpet store and go into the back. Look for a large dumpster full of carpet peices and cut off the one thats closest to yours and get some Elmers white glue to hold it in place and put a weight on it till it's dry. no one will ever know! (unless your hampster's a snitch too!)
Q:How do I remove bad carpet stains?
Depends on the stain. Tell me more. Here are a few pointers: 1. Koolaid is taken out by using a steam iron, a PURE WHITE cloth, Ammonia (preferably lemon scented), and a steam Iron. Mix the Ammonia 1to1 with water and pour a small amount on the Kool-Aid stain. Place the white cloth on top of the stain and heat it with the Iron. Repeat as necessary. It is called Heat Transfer, the stain will soak up into the white cloth. If you use a colored cloth, the color from the cloth will soak into the carpet. 2. Urine when it dries turns to alkaline. The way to remove alkaline is with acid. Vinegar is an acid and works well. Also Protein stains like Blood and Urine set when you try to clean them with hot water, so use cold water when cleaning these types of stains. 3. For every 18 degrees of water temperature your soap will clean 100 percent better. Use VERY hot water to clean carpet, just so long as you are below 200 degrees. Thus the reason they call it steam cleaning. 4. Mechanical action (scrubbing) is the best way to clean most stains. Get vicious. 5. Always test any spot remover in a closet to make sure it is not taking out the color of your carpet. 6. Buy powdered water softener in your laundry soap section of the store and use it with your soap, it will make it work far better. 7. Keep it simple Stupid. Regular degreasers and cleaners work well in traffic lanes. Get a cheap pump up sprayer in your garden section of Walmart, add simple green and water, and spray the High traffic areas of your carpet and any spots. This is called a TLC or Traffic Lane Cleaner.
Q:what things should I look for when buying an area rug?
first of all, are you looking for an heirloom piece? Try oriental rugs or persian rugs. Very costly. Can set you back a couple grand but will increase in value over time. you need to look behind the rug for the quality. You are looking for handstitched and lots of detail, etc. The most important characteristic for me is durability and washability. Some you can put into the washer, others need special cleaners, some are spot clean only. The second characteristic important to me is texture. I like plush soft carpets that you can walk on with your bare feet. Of course, color choice and design are important. (floral? transitional? contemporary?) I like transitional. I'm a fan of Mohawk and Shaw area rugs. You can find them at Home Depot. Reasonable prices for machine made rugs.
Q:clean carpets?
What are the red stains? If you could tell us, we may be of more help to you. If you are not exactly sure, then a guesstimate would be good. Wine? lipstick? juice? paint? etc
Q:Oval Rug/Rectangle Table?
A rectangular rug would look better under an oval table but you can do the oval rug under the rectangular table, as long as the rug is quite larger than the table... Otherwise, if the rug is too small and the table goes basically to the ends of the rug, the rug will look too small.
Q:Construction technology for joining floor tiles and carpets
The carpet has a very small T in layering, tile edge, careful worker, and then came the carpet the carpet is pressed into the T bar, also should be careful to do, just to cut the carpet, because the note is very small, cut a little bit will be exposed.
Q:Do I have to remove carpet padding staples if I am re-carpeting?
Most people don't remove the old tack strips, however the old ones depending on how long they've been in place, can sometimes be worn. The wood can get a little weak or the tacks themselves may not hold the new carpet in place depending on the type of backing on the new carpet. You may also want to consider removing the old padding simply because of the amount of dirt and liquids that may have been absorbed over the years. When it comes down to it, it's about how much you can budget to the project.
