Q:What is difference in sizes of area and accent rugs ?
They come in all sizes, but as a general rule an area rug covers the center of the room usually just up to where the furniture sits around the sides.
Q:Why would it be hard after cleaning the carpet
And if it combines with hard water, it will produce calcium sulfonate, that 's because you don't choose detergent well. It's hard to be soft. The detergent of the sulfonic acid must combine with complexing agent to use. This substance does not dissolve in water
Q:Can you put an area rug on burber carpet?
you can but i think it would look a little strange. i wouldn't recommend it.
Q:removing carpet glue from terrazzo?
complicated one that. Any solvent which will dissolve the glue will additionally dissolve the adhesive protecting the fibre glass jointly. Is it an animal based glue? The scent often supplies that away, form of a fishy scent, like Copydex. i think of the terrific guess is probably a mechanical answer, i.e. scraping it off with a great blade. you may get particular the type to scrape glass sparkling of glue that would desire to artwork.
Q:How do I remove bad carpet stains?
Depends on the stain. Tell me more. Here are a few pointers: 1. Koolaid is taken out by using a steam iron, a PURE WHITE cloth, Ammonia (preferably lemon scented), and a steam Iron. Mix the Ammonia 1to1 with water and pour a small amount on the Kool-Aid stain. Place the white cloth on top of the stain and heat it with the Iron. Repeat as necessary. It is called Heat Transfer, the stain will soak up into the white cloth. If you use a colored cloth, the color from the cloth will soak into the carpet. 2. Urine when it dries turns to alkaline. The way to remove alkaline is with acid. Vinegar is an acid and works well. Also Protein stains like Blood and Urine set when you try to clean them with hot water, so use cold water when cleaning these types of stains. 3. For every 18 degrees of water temperature your soap will clean 100 percent better. Use VERY hot water to clean carpet, just so long as you are below 200 degrees. Thus the reason they call it steam cleaning. 4. Mechanical action (scrubbing) is the best way to clean most stains. Get vicious. 5. Always test any spot remover in a closet to make sure it is not taking out the color of your carpet. 6. Buy powdered water softener in your laundry soap section of the store and use it with your soap, it will make it work far better. 7. Keep it simple Stupid. Regular degreasers and cleaners work well in traffic lanes. Get a cheap pump up sprayer in your garden section of Walmart, add simple green and water, and spray the High traffic areas of your carpet and any spots. This is called a TLC or Traffic Lane Cleaner.
Q:How do I get Mold out of a rug???
try resolve carpet cleaner with the oxygen bleach in it.
Q:Carpet cleaning--Berber carpet, can it?
Berber is an attractive and durable choice for carpeting, making it very popular in modern homes. However, because of its high pile, it needs to be cleaned fairly frequently to keep it looking its best. Cleaning your Berber carpet at least every 3 months is the best way to keep it in great shape.
Q:Working out on Carpet?
You more than likely have crushed the fibers on the carpet. Depending on the type of carpet you may or may not get them to fluff or come back up. The padding also depends on the quality.A decent pad will come back but I m willing to bet it won t and you ve crush that permanently. Only thing to prevent this in the future id to stop working out on the carpet and onto a hard surface. Puttin a hard mat over the carpet will still crush the fibers. There are tricks to try to get the fibers back. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q:Cheap Round Rugs?
Try okorder.com. Just put round in the keywords search. They're pretty reasonable, and they match low prices you see elsewhere.
Q:Cat scratching on carpet?
It shouldn't be too hard. All you need to do is to set up a behavioral modelling program. First of all, you have to punish your cat whenever it scratches the carpet (make loud noise, throw water or a unharmful object at her), but this punishment should not be too tough (so you it will not develop depression or anxiety) and it should be immediate. Secondly, you have to reinforce the cat's desired behaviour. Try to draw your cat's attention to the scratcher. Try to feed her only near it. Then after a few days, try to show the cat how to use it, by handling her claws on the scratcher. And then, anytime the cat makes that move (touching the scratcher) give it a reward, like it's favourite food. In time it should work out fine. All living creatures are designed to learn from the enviroment, so the cat will learn from you, especially since it's you who has all the food, and that's what it's all about. It work did, with my cat (it used to scratch the furniture legs). I hope it answered to something. (my cat also learned to run beside me, when i go jogging - but just around the house)
